"I don't know what it is, or what it's supposed to mean. And I can't figure out what kind of connection she would have to a place like that or why she wouldn't want my dad to find out about it. But you're right, if that place had something to do with her disappearance then it might explain how I worked my way back to it."
"Well it's not like you've been anywhere else since you found it again, right? You stopped exploring."
"Yeah because weird things started happening and I was too scared to go anywhere else."
"What if it wasn't the fear that stopped you? What if the whole reason you went to all those places was because you were trying to find something, and when you found the manor, whatever you were looking for you found it, so you stopped searching."
"Yeah but...searching for what?"
"I don't know. But I can look into it for you. I know they closed your mom's case a long time ago,"
"Do it. I've come this far, I can't stop now. If you can find something that might help, I'm all for it."
At her sudden agreement to accept his help, he cocked an eyebrow.
"I thought you didn't want me anywhere near this."
"You're doing research in an office. If you were suggesting going to the house I'd say no, but you're safe in your own precinct right?"
