"The hospital?"

"Yes, Lennox, we need to get your leg x-rayed and have your vitals checked, blood work, everything. Can you walk?" He watched a nervous expression cross Lennox's face, but she knew she had to try.

Putting her legs carefully over the side of the bed, she hesitated before finally putting pressure on her feet to stand up. She was steady, and there was no pain. With a laugh of disbelief she turned to her father.

"I can walk."

"Walk to me."

He held out his hand and backed across the room, and after successfully walking across the room she smiled.

"Dad I'm okay."

"Yes but how? You had a month until your cast came off, longer even, this doesn't make sense."

"Does it matter? My leg is fine,"

"Yes but it shouldn't be! Lennox this is not normal, don't tell me we shouldn't question it. We're going to the hospital, get dressed."

"Dad," "Lennox, we're going. I'll get the car ready."

He looked her up and down suspiciously as he walked out of the room. After spending so much time in the hospital recently, it was the last place Lennox wanted to be. She knew her father wouldn't let it go until he'd seen for himself that she was healthy, so against her wishes she let him take her to the hospital.
