Will returned holding a syringe, and after going directly into the hospital room he pushed the medication - whatever it was - straight into Lennox's IV line.
"That should help calm you down a little bit." He said slowly.
They both watched the fluid travel through the line, and almost as soon as it hit Lennox's system she became drowsy. Jay, Will and Skye watched her heart rate decrease rapidly, and Lennox frowned at her sudden sleepiness.
"Wha...what did you give me?" She whispered, her eyes closing as Will stepped back from the bed.
"I thought you couldn't give her anything." Jay frowned.
"I can't give her pain meds, but I've given her a sedative that shouldn't interact with the drugs already in her system. Hopefully she stays asleep until she's due some more medication."
"Okay, thanks man."
"Yeah."
"Hey, how's Caleb?"
"He needs surgery. She snapped his wrist in half."
He forced a smile as he walked away, and Jay's jaw dropped slightly as he turned his gaze back to a now peacefully sleeping Lennox.
She slept until nightfall; it was beginning to get dark by the time she woke up, but when she did, Jay was there waiting. He'd been sat in the chair in the corner of the room for the past 3 hours, expecting her to have woken up much sooner. He'd sent Skye to be with Caleb for support - not to mention she was too scared of Lennox to have stuck around for when she woke up - but to Jay's surprise and relief, she didn't wake up with the same homicidal glare in her eyes as she'd had before Will put her out. She was squinting as if it was too bright even though the lights were off in the room, and after looking around she saw Jay in the corner of the room.
