Jay stayed with Lennox for as long as he could before he got called into work. By the look she'd had on her face when he'd told her about Caleb, she needed the company. But when Sergeant Casey called and gave Jay no choice but to go and join his team for back up, he had to go. He'd told Lennox he'd be back as soon as he could, but to be honest, she was relieved that he was going. She had no problem with him being there, but ever since she'd told him about everything he'd had this expression of overprotectiveness and concern plastered on his face, and Lennox wasn't exactly used to that level of concern for her safety. She debated using the unsupervised time to go and see Caleb. I should go and see him, she'd thought. I want to make sure he's okay. But I can't explain what happened. So she decided against the idea. After a few hours of time to herself she went to find her father. She wouldn't have bothered him whilst he was on his rounds, but when the pain in her leg started kicking in just an hour after she'd already been given medication, she figured he was the one person who would actually give her something worth taking. He'd just come out of the pediatric ward, and when he reached the double doors Lennox put up her crutch against the edge of the door. He stopped abruptly, raising an eyebrow at the crutch leg which was level with his nose.
"Have you come to scare the children?" He asked, his eyes following the length of the crutch and stopping at Lennox as she smiled sarcastically.
"Funny. I need meds." She took the crutch off the door as he frowned and checked his watch.
"You had meds. An hour ago, in fact, they should be taking effect already."
"No, I need different ones. Stronger ones." She awaited his response, which was to shake his head.
"You're on the strongest dosage of what Will prescribed, I'm not your doctor sweetheart I can't prescribe you anything else without talking to him." He gestured for her to walk with him, which she did.
"But my leg hurts, and Will won't give me anything else for it."
"It will, you'll have an ache for a long time Lennox, that's what happens when you get yourself stuck in a bear trap."
