Narrator'S POV
Camila was sleeping when Lucy left her place early Sunday morning after staying over for two nights. Lucy planned to stay for another night, but her parents return to the town earlier than expected. Her father called her early morning, asking her to come to the hospital because her mother got into an accident. Lucy left Camila's place after talking to Sinu, who was worried, after receiving the news.
Getting into her brown SUV, Lucy drove away, heading to the hospital. Passing the bridge, she stopped at the petrol station. After getting what she needed, Lucy left the groceries store. She halted after she walked out of the groceries store. She heard a scream coming from nearby. She looked around, but there was nobody. She looked into the store at the cashier man, the only person in this petrol station. She got back into the store.
"Hey, sir! Did you hear that?" She asked the guy in his early fifties.
"Hear what?" He did not look shocked or confused. He looked sleepy.
"I heard a scream," Lucy asked again as she got an unexpected reaction from the man.
"No." He shrugged. He seemed unbothered.
"Okay," Lucy said in a low voice and left the store.
Walking to her car, She heard another scream, but it was not as loud as before. She walked to the building next to the groceries store, where the sound came from. She jogged and got closer to the source. Walking through the small alley between the building, she did not doubt that she was heading in the right direction. Lucy slowed down her pace as she got closer to the end of the alley, which led to a field before the closest wood.
Lucy peeped from the end of the building. She saw a man helplessly kneeling on the ground. He was surrounded by three women: one was standing closest to him with a gun in her left hand, the second one was leaning on the car and the last one was sitting on the car hood. She tried to figure out who they were or what they were.
Lucy was shocked and retreated to hide behind the wall when the one sitting on the car hood, glanced at her way. Leaning on the wall of the building, she squeezed her eyes, hoping that they did not know her presence. She usually did not care much, but he was a bit different this morning. She realized she should not have come here in the first place. She decided to leave, knowing nothing she could do.
Lucy froze before she made a move to go back to her car. She realized the woman sitting on the car hood was standing right next to her. She did not want to look at her. She decided to leave, but she stopped after a few steps.
"Good morning, pretty!" The woman leaned on the car and greeted her with both arms in front of her chest
Lucy subtly cursed, "F*ck!"
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I..." Lucy looked back at the one behind her. She could tell they were not human beings, even though they looked like ones. She was still figuring out what they were. "Nothing. I see nothing." She answered.
"As you should..." The one in front of her warned her.
"Yes..." Lucy said. She was thinking to run past the one in front of her, but before she could do so, she got pulled and pushed onto the wall of the building. She was shocked, looking a the woman who was firmly grabbing her neck. Lucy did not try to fight back.
The woman was way stronger than her. Her hand was warm, but her stare was cold. Lucy was not only scared but also stunned, looking at the woman, who she thought was the leader among the three. The woman leaned closer like she wanted to kiss Lucy. Lucy gulped as she found the woman intimidating but attractive. Lucy looked at her lips, and the woman kissed her deeply. Lucy froze, but she welcomed the kiss within no time.
