Narrator's POV

Normani drove Camila's home. They were accompanied by Lauren's men, following them from behind in different cars. Lauren wanted to make sure Camila was safe on the way home. It was not that she did not trust Normani. Extra bodyguards were arranged to ensure Camila's trip home, which took approximately one hour, was safe and protected. Lauren did not want something bad to happen to Camila, especially after leaving her place. They had promised Camila's mother that she would take care of Camila and make sure Camila was safe when she was with her.

Since Lauren was not with them, they used this opportunity to talk about the things that Camila might feel inconvenient to talk about when Lauren was around.

"Normani, are you a werewolf, too?" Camila was more direct with Normani than Dinah and Anna.

"Yes." Normani smiled. "I hope It won't scare you away."

"No, I won't, but I need time to adjust..." Camila admitted. "It's something new to me..."

"No problem. I understand. I'm glad you did not unfriend me." Normani replied.

Camila smiled, "I won't... you have saved me why should I run away from you."

"Well, we never know... some don't want to make friends with werewolves or different beings," Normani spoke the truth.

"Sadly..." Camila did not have much say about it. "But not me for sure... even though I am not sure how it works."

"No big difference. I guess." Normani said, "Just like human beings friendship. Probably, acceptance besides other things such as honesty, loyalty, etc..."

"Okay..." Camila smiled.

"Are you the one who stayed close to me that night?" Camila guessed that the werewolf, who was standing close to her during the fight was Normani.

Normani nodded, "How do you know that? It could be Dinah or Lauren."

"It's just my feeling." Camila could not explain in detail, "I just got the vibes. It must be you among the three of you."

"You got a good instinct," Normani said. She believed so, not to mention Camila was Lauren's mate, who was supposed to have a good instinct just like Lauren, even though Camila was a human being.

Camila chucked, "thanks!"

"How was it staying at Lauren's place?" Normani slightly looked at Camila, who was looking out of the window on her side. Normani had noticed the hickey on Camila's neck earlier when they were in the breakfast room. It meant Lauren had marked Camila before the full moon.

Camila looked at Normani before she answered, "It was fine."

"Did she treat you well?" Normani asked. "I hope she did not say or did something annoy you."

"She's a bit annoying, but only at the beginning." Camila was annoyed when Lauren did not want to talk to her or see her, but things changed after they spent their first night together. "The rest is fine."

"So, Are you two a thing now?" Normani did not hesitate to ask.

Camila was surprised. "What do you mean?" She certainly knew that Normani was asking about Lauren and her.
