Narrator's POV
Normani was driving into the driveway of her home. She parked her car on the driveway. Normani saw Camila's car arrive at Camila's house when she got out of her car. She was thinking of stopping by to greet Camila since they arrived at the same time. She frowned when she saw a man in the suit was out of Camila's car instead of Camila. Feeling strange, Normani jogged across the street to Camila's place.
"Hi, good evening!" Normani greeted the man who just got out of the car.
"Good evening!" The man turned around and greeted Normani back. He smiled at Normani.
"I thought it was Camila," Normani said.
"No." He smiled and locked the car.
"Why are you driving her car?" Normani asked. She sounded a bit offensive, which made the man lose the smile on his face.
"Who are you, Mam?" The man asked politely.
"Sorry. I'm her friend and a neighbor." Normani pointed to her house. "I'm just worried about her. Is she okay?"
The man smiled again. "Camila is fine. She's having dinner with our boss. They are taking Ms. Johnson's car. So, I was asked to take her car home." The man explained.
"I see. Sorry, I don't mean to be offensive." Normani said.
"It's alright! I understand. I would do the same if I were you." The man said.
"Do you know where they have the dinner?" Normani asked.
"Unfortunately, I don't." The man was polite. "Maybe, one of the boss' favorite restaurants, but not sure which one." He shrugged.
"Okay, no problem!" Normani smiled at the man, who seemed like a nice guy.
"I gotta go. Have a nice evening, Mam!" He excused himself.
"Have a nice evening, too!" Normani returned to her house after the man who was Dakota's driver left.
Normani called Camila to check further. Camila did not answer, but she replied to Normani's message, telling her that she had dinner with her boss on the other side of the city. Camila didn't mention where she was. Normani thought Lauren should know that Camila had dinner with someone on Valentine's Day. Lauren called Camila once she got the news from Normani. Camila did not answer her first and second calls, but she rejected Lauren's third call.
"You can answer it, Camila," Dakota told Camila after Camila ignored the calls twice. She was afraid it was an urgent call. She did not mind Camila answering the call even though they were talking.
Camila knew it was from Lauren. She took her phone out of her bag. She looked at Lauren's name before she rejected the call. "No, it's fine."
"Is it the one who sent the flowers?" Dakota asked.
"Yeah..." Camila was taken aback. "How did you know?"
"Am I right?" Dakota was just guessing. She was surprised, too.
"Yeah..." Camila could be too naive sometimes, keeping no secret.
"I just made an assumption. You did not take the flowers home, nor have dinner with anyone." Dakota said.
"Yeah... you're right!" Camila smiled weakly.
