Narrator's POV

On Saturday morning, Camila went to her mother's cafe after she finished training her martial arts. She would usually rest at home before she went out with Dakota in the afternoon, but today she wanted to help her mother at the cafe. Sinu did not need Camila's help as she got staff, but another extra hand would be good too. Sinu did not question Camila's unusual habit. She let Camila come to the cafe because she knew her daughter needed distraction. Sinu had noticed something unusual about her daughter since the wedding news came out.

Camila would lost in her mind more often than before. She also always tried to make herself busy during the weekend. Things got more unusual when Camila preferred to spend her day with others, not by herself. It was not her daughter she knew. Camila always loved to spend time alone. She also would stay at home sleeping, reading books, or just relaxing during the weekend if she did not go out for training or going out with Dakota. The sudden change convinced Sinu that Lauren's wedding affected her daughter in one way or another.

Sinu did not discuss it with Camila because she did not want to repeat, her disapproval for her daughter to be with other beings, especially Lauren. She chose to remain silent and watched how her daughter coped with it. Sinu knew Camila liked Lauren, but she did not know how much Camila liked Lauren and how much things had happened between them. Sinu believed that Camila would move on once Lauren and Alexa were officially married. She trusted her daughter was not the one who would be a home wrecker. If Camila turned out to be one, Sinu would not sit still. It was for their safety since she could imagine what Mr. Ferrer and Alexa would do to them if it happened.

Camila left her mother's cafe before sunset. She headed home to refresh herself before she headed out again to go to Dakota's place. She did her best to focus on one thing she was doing at the time to keep her mind from thinking of anything related to the wedding and Lauren. On the way to Dakota's place, Camila could not help but think of the wedding. She did not think she was sad since she shed no tears. She did not think she was mad as she did not feel any rage. She got that kind of weird feeling. It was like she heard nothing, felt nothing, standing in the crowd feeling lonely as the busy world went by her.

"Hi!" Camila hugged Dakota as Dakota opened the door and welcomed her. "How was it?" Camila asked about the wedding when she took off her coat.

"It's good," Dakota said as she closed the door. "But I left early, so I don't know the rest."

Camila smiled. "I bought you some cakes from my mom's cafe."

"Thank you!" Dakota and Camila settled on the sofa in one of Dakota's living rooms. "We can have them later." Dakota had had her earlier dinner at the wedding. She would not have dinner again, but she could use some cakes.

"Okay!" Camila took a sip of the drink that Dakota prepared for her.

"They both look stunning," Dakota informed Camila as she took her phone to show Camila the picture she had taken. She passed the phone to Camila, who sat next to her.

"They look perfect." Camila looked at the pictures for a few seconds before she handed the phone back to Dakota.

"Lauren invited no one," Dakota said. "It's only the two ladies who are the honor of attendants."

"Oh..." Camila was not surprised. She knew the two ladies were Dinah and Normani. "Not even her family?"

"I don't think she has a family, doesn't she?" Dakota asked, looking at Camila. She wanted to see how much Camila knew Lauren.
