Narrator's POV
Camila and her mother left their house and went to Normani's house. It was the first time they celebrated their Christmas with others, not only two of them since they moved to this city. Although Camila was a little anxious, thinking Lauren would stop by, she and her mother felt grateful and cheerful to celebrate Christmas with Normani and her family. Camila and her mother brought a chocolate cake and chicken wing dish over.
"Hi, come on in!" Normani greeted Camila and Sinu as she opened the door for them.
"It's so magical, so Christmassy!!!" Camila complimented the Christmas decoration of Normani's house.
"Yes!! My mom did it!" Normani said.
"I got one for you, and my mother got one for your mother." Camila passed the Christmas gift to Normani and her mother.
"Thank you!!" Normani and her mother said.
Normani introduced Camila and Sinu to her family. Normani's family consisted of werewolves, humans, and witches. Her mother was a hybrid of a witch and a werewolf. Her two half-sisters were a hybrid of werewolf and human. Her aunt and uncle were a wizard, and a werewolf, and their son the hybrid of their beings.
"Nice to meet you, Camila!" Normani's cousin, Andrew, said.
"Nice to meet you, too!" Camila looked at Normani when Andrew winked at her.
"Andrew!" Normani warned her cousin.
Andrew pouted. "She's yours?" Andrew whispered, asking Normani.
"No, but you better stay away, Mr. Bazzi!" Normani warned him.
They started the dinner not long after Camila and her mother arrived. The dinner was joyful. Camila smiled when she looked at her mother, who seemed happy, enjoying the dinner. When Camila and Normani prepared for the desserts, the bell rang.
"It must be Dinah!" Normani said.
Camila got nervous instantly when she heard Dinah's voice, followed by Normani's mother greeting Dinah and Lauren.
"Girls!" Dinah showed up in the kitchen after greeting those in the dining room.
"Dinah, I thought you're not coming." Normani greeted Dinah with a warm hug, and so did Camila.
"Some delays, but we made it," Dinah said. "Camila, I got a little gift for you!" Dinah handed Camila a small paper bag.
"Thank you, Dinah!" Camila smiled, "but I got you nothing."
"Nah, don't worry about that!" Dinah said, "Just give me a big piece of the cake."
"Alright!" Camila smiled as Lauren entered the kitchen.
"Hi!" Lauren stood at the doorway. She greeted both: Camila and Normani, but her eyes were on Camila longer.
"Hi!" Camila said and returned to cut the cake.
"Hey Lauren, do you want a piece of cake, too?" Normani asked.
"What do you have?" Lauren asked and walked into the kitchen. She sat next to Dinah, who sat in front of Camila and Normani.
"It's a chocolate cake," Normani said.
