Narrator's POV
Lauren was standing in front of the bathroom mirror, but she was looking at the door, and behind it was Camila asking her to open the door. She hesitated. Lauren did not want to open the door, not because she was naked, but because she was afraid that Camila would be shocked to see her wounds. Lauren was taking off her bandage as she wanted to change it. The wounds were not damaging for her, but they would be pretty bad for a human being.
"Lauren, open the door!" Camila asked calmly. She got a feeling something was not right.
Lauren knew why Camila insisted. She could read Camila's mind and also heard Camila's worried voice.
"Lauren..." Camila tried to open the door again.
Lauren disposed of her bandages in the bin. She cleaned the blood stains with a towel before she threw the towel into the laundry bin. She took her bathrobe to cover her wounds. She opened the door and looked at Camila, who was holding her sweatpants. They looked at each other for a moment: Camila looked at Lauren suspiciously while Lauren looked at Camila nonchalantly.
Camila was thinking about what to say. Lauren was taking too long in the bathroom, and she heard Lauren groaning. Lauren sounded in pain. She did not want to show Lauren that she cared but could not ignore her, too. So, she asked. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah..." Lauren looked away to the mirror, checking her face. She was a little bit awkward, which was strange, especially for Camila. She never saw Lauren being awkward.
Camila looked at Lauren and scanned the bathroom slightly. She saw tiny little bloodstains on the floor, which Lauren missed.
"Are you sure?" Camila walked closer and reached for Lauren's abdomen.
Lauren stepped back a little and did not let Camila touch her. It was getting evident to Camila that Lauren was too strange. She must be hiding something.
Camila's eyes widened when she saw the blood started to show up on Lauren's white bathrobe. "You're bleeding!!" Camila exclaimed.
"Oh, Yeah..." Lauren casually brushed it off. "I'm going to change my bandage." Lauren walked away from Camila. "But you can use the bathroom first."
"Wait!!!" Camila stopped Lauren, holding her arm. "Let me see!"
"I'm fine!" Lauren wanted to walk out of the bathroom, but Camila pulled her back.
"No." Camila doubted Lauren.
"Camila..." Lauren sighed, giving in.
Camila slowly uncovered Lauren's bathrobe a little to see her bandaged body. She covered her mouth when she saw Lauren's wounds without the bandage. Lauren immediately covered it up when Camila was horrified. She had not seen it all, only saw small parts of her wounds.
Camila hit Lauren's arm, "You are not fine!!!"
"Why did you hit me?" Lauren exclaimed, "Don't add insult to injury." Lauren caressed her arm where Camila hit her. Camila surely did not hurt her by the slap on her arm. Lauren just tried to make her condition less overwhelming to Camila, and she was not used to Camila paying attention and worried about her.
"You need a doctor," Camila said.
"No. I just need to put on a new bandage." Lauren said, "Go and use the toilet quickly!"
