Lauren's POV

In the VIP room...

"Camila..." I whispered her name every night when I went to bed since I saw her. I loved the feeling of her name on my lips. It made me think and imagine further how would it feel to run my fingers through her long hair, to caress her soft tanned skin, to touch her lips with mine, to hold her close in my arms, and to have her by my side.

It never crossed my mind I would meet this little woman that I had been searching for in front of that popular college in the land. She showed up out of the blue and fast, passing me. She was like a small tornado rolling past me. Her scent hit me and made me lost for a second. I was caught off guard that I did not manage to stop her from punching Alexa. I even did not move immediately to help Alexa because I was lost in her presence.

When I separated her from Alexa and lifted her and I looked into her eyes that day, her scent hit me for the second time. It confirmed to me instantly that she was the one I had been looking for. I did not know she existed as a human being exist. I put her down and looked her in the eyes. I could not believe she was finally in front of me when it was least expected when I was giving up searching for her. I was lost for awhile but I was not too lost to save her from Alexa's attack.

I knew her name from Alexa. Alexa could not stop cursing Lucy and Camila when Dinah and I drove her to the hospital. For a little human being like her, Camila could handle Alexa better than average people who were bigger than her. From how she punched Alexa and how Alexa was injured, I was sure she mastered a martial art or something. People without that skill could not hurt Alexa like that. Alexa could not stop cursing Lucy and Camila, and I could not stop thinking of Camila.

She had occupied my mind since that day. I thought Lucy was the one I was looking for when I first met her at the petrol station. She carried that scent that not only intrigued me but also subtly aroused me. That special scent was so subtle that I had to kiss her to find out. Unfortunately, I did not have much time as the police arrived. Lucy was lucky that we let her go after witnessing what we did. My instinct was telling me that she would keep her mouth shut and she did.

After that morning, I told Dinah I need more information about Lucy. Fortunately, It did not take long for us to meet again. When I was at Alexa's birthday party, I was informed by Dinah that Lucy was at the party. My not-so-sober self wanted to meet her. I wanted to know if she was really the one I was looking for from the scent she had. I asked Normani to bring her to me. I was waiting for her in the darkroom when Normani took her to me.

When she arrived, I did not scent what I was looking for. She did not carry that special scent as she did at the petrol station days ago. I got closer, thinking the alcohol might confuse my sensing. I got closer and I sniffed at her and I did not get that scent. I growled at her. I was furious thinking she deceived me. I was disappointed that she did not have that scent anymore. My little hope vanished. I knew she was scared but I could see she wanted me. I devoured her mouth to express my emotion and she welcomed me without any rejection.

Unfortunately, Alexa found out about it. I knew she was not mad because I slept with another woman. She was mad because it was Lucy. I did not know what these two had. I did not care as it was none of my business. Alexa set me up by asking me to pick her up that day, which she rarely asked. She told me her father wanted to meet me. She lied to me. It turned out she wanted to confront Lucy and me about what we had that night. I didn't deny it but Lucy did. As, I always said, I never lied.

I let them fight because their drama was so unnecessary and too much. I was not happy that Alexa lied to me, and Lucy lied to her. I hated liars. Blessing in disguise, the woman I had been searching for showed up. When I found that she was Lucy's best friend, the puzzle in my mind for two weeks was solved. Later on, I found out why Lucy carried that scent that intrigued me. It was because she was wearing Camila's sweater that morning. The special scent I found in Lucy's was not hers, but Camila's from Camila's sweater. No wonder, the scent was so subtle, unlike with Camila. I could scent it easily without standing close to her.
