Narrator's POV
It was a fine Wednesday afternoon at the beginning of summer. The students were leaving their classes and out of the campus building. Some looked tired. Some looked excited. Some looked in a hurry. Camila was also leaving. She was heading to the spot where she and Lucy usually met before they left the campus. She was stopped by a man when she was descending the stairs.
On the other side, Lucy was heading to the same spot. It had been more than two months since she got her arm broken. Lucy was recovering fast. She could drive again within one or two weeks. On the way to meet Camila, Lucy stopped and turned in the other direction when she saw someone she knew standing under the tree.
"Stop stalking her!" Lucy told the one standing under the big tree.
"I stalk no one." The woman in front of Lucy said. She did not bother to turn around. She knew Lucy's arrival even before Lucy spoke.
"I saw you here three days in a row." Lucy noticed her presence at their campus. "And it's not the first time."
"What do you want?" Lucy was not happy, receiving no answer.
"You know what I want." The woman stood still under the tree, looking ahead, facing away from Lucy.
"Lauren!" Lucy's tone was higher.
Lauren with her sunglasses on, turned around, looking at Lucy. She said nothing. She gazed at Lucy's arm and looked back at her eyes.
"Leave her alone!" Lucy asked.
"Why should I?" Lauren replied.
"She's not for you," Lucy said.
Lauren smirked, "Are you jealous?"
"No!" Lucy did not expect that reply. "Just leave her alone!"
"Give me a good reason!" Lauren challenged.
"She's an innocent and kind human being. Don't hurt her!" Lucy said.
Lauren smirked, "is she?" She half-turned and looked at where Camila was talking to the man."Even more interesting."
"What do you want?" Lucy was losing her patient.
Lauren did not answer immediately but looked at Camila again from a distance.
"She's beautiful," Lauren said while looking at the same spot.
"Lauren, please don't hurt her!" Lucy sounded a bit begging.
"Who says I want to hurt her?" Lauren frowned before she laughed sneakily, "Well..."
"Whatever in your mind, you will end up hurting her," Lucy said.
"Did I hurt you?" Lauren smirked again.
"Stop it!" Lucy lost her cool.
"I don't understand!" Lauren said her eyes were on Camila.
"Stop the game!" Lucy added.
"I ain't playing no games," Lauren added.
Lucy was getting hopeless, "Why?"
Lauren did not answer but looked at Camila.
"If you hate me, come at me, not her!" Lucy thought she had led Lauren to Camila. If she never met Lauren, Lauren might never know Camilla.
