There are some things you just never expect.
Hyunjin didn't expect to wake up on Felix's couch with Felix cuddled into his side. He doesn't even know how they ended up like this.
Last he remembered they were on opposite sides of the couch watching a movie.
Looking at Felix's face, his eyes traced over every little feature on the younger. From the small pout on his lips to the slope of his nose that was littered with small freckles. He looked so peaceful, however, those beautiful peaceful features contorted into pain and sadness.
"Felix," Hyunjin said softly.
"I'm sorry," Felix mumbled.
"Felix?"
Tears fell down Felix's cheeks, then dropped on Hyunjin's shirt. Felix's crying got a little harder as his breathing got unsteady.
"Hyunjin,"
As soon as his name tumbled from Felix's lips, Hyunjin's whole body froze, his breathing stuttered and he tensed. Before he was able to think of it Felix was whispering soft "stop's" in his sleep.
"Felix, you're okay. You're not there," Hyunjin whispered, trying to soothe the younger.
"Wake up," Felix muttered, the clear tone of stress in his voice.
"Felix, it's not real, you're okay,"
Hyunjin held Felix's hand, causing Felix to wake with a gasp. His shoulders shook as he cried and he was barely able to get a breath in.
"Felix, what happened?"
"I…"
"Felix?"
Felix's mind was just too clouded to talk.
"Felix, you need to breathe,"Hyunjin said, adjusting to kneel in front of Felix.
The younger's eyes couldn't focus on one thing.
"It was a dream, Felix, it wasn't real," Hyunjin said softly.
Felix leaned forward and hugged Hyunjin. Hyunjin took a breath and hesitantly wrapped his arms around Felix's waist.
"It was just a dream, angel," Hyunjin whispered.
"It wasn't real," Felix whispered between shaky breaths.
