The sunlight filtered softly through the sheer curtains, casting golden streaks across the room. Y/N stretched lazily, the comfort of the plush duvet keeping her cocooned in warmth. She turned her head to the side, catching sight of Stefan Salvatore lying beside her, propped up on one elbow. His gaze was fixed on her, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

"You're staring," she said, her voice soft and teasing as she met his eyes.

"I am not." Stefan defended, his tone light and playful. "I'm lovingly gazing; there's a difference."

Y/N rolled her eyes, but her cheeks flushed a faint pink. "Flattery won't get you out of making breakfast," she teased, playfully poking his chest.

Stefan chuckled, the sound warm and easy. "Who said I was getting out of it? I was thinking pancakes. Maybe some eggs? Or are you in the mood for something else?"

The Y/L/N girl silently considered for a moment, her stomach giving a small growl. "Pancakes sound good. Blueberry in particular, that is if we have any left. How about we watch a movie with me after?"

"Deal," Stefan said, leaning down to press a soft kiss to her forehead before lying back beside her. "But you're choosing the movie. Last time I picked, you didn't talk to me for an hour."

Y/N/N laughed, the sound filling the room. "That's because you thought a horror movie was a good idea before bed. You're lucky I even slept after that."

"You're right," Stefan admitted with a sheepish grin. "How about a rom-com this time? Something light."

"Now you're talking." She shifted closer to him, her head resting on his chest as she traced idle patterns on his skin. "You know, I like this. Lazy mornings with you. No drama, just us."

Stefan wrapped an arm around her, his hand trailing softly up and down her back. "Me too. We don't get to have many moments like this. It's a nice change if you ask me."

Y/N looked up at him, her eyes shimmering with affection. "Couldn't agree with you more on that one. Our own little slice of perfection."

Stefan leaned down, brushing his lips against hers in a slow, lingering kiss. When they finally broke apart, he rested his forehead against hers. "You make everything perfect, Y/N/N."

They stayed like that for a while, tangled up in each other, talking about nothing and everything. The sunlight crept higher, but neither of them moved, content to stay wrapped in the simplicity of the morning.

Eventually, Stefan sighed dramatically. "Alright, pancakes it is. But if there's no blueberries, I'm improvising."

Y/N laughed again, swatting his chest lightly. "Strawberry will do just fine, Salvatore."

As he reluctantly untangled himself from her and made his way to the kitchen, Y/N settled back into the bed with a dreamy smile. This was the kind of morning she could get used to-filled with laughter, love, and the promise of many more to come.
