Separation and Obsession (Hyde x Female Reader)

Chapter 39

The two of you laid down on the bed and cuddled for a little while, until you were able to fall asleep peacefully. Unfortunately, you woke up about an hour later because you had to use the restroom really badly. Thankfully, Hyde didn't have an iron koala grip on you this time. You quietly left the room and saw that the living room was empty. So Yume did let Ken in her room. Hopefully on the floor like she said, but who are you to tell what she can't do in her room? You went on your way to the bathroom to relieve yourself then back to your room. You could see that Hyde was sitting up in bed, waiting for you. Couldn't you leave for five seconds? Yet again, with all that drama with Adrien, he probably wanted to be safe. "Nothing happened to me, I just had to use the restroom" you told him, as you sat back on the bed prepared to pull the covers over you. "Before you lay down, my angel, do you mind turning on the fan? It's just a little warm in here for me", Hyde requested. Without the window cracked open a little for safety reasons, it was a little warm here to be honest. "I don't mind, koala bear" you said and got up to turn on the fan on a low setting. Hopefully that would help, though you could turn it on a higher setting if you needed. But you had a better suggestion. "If it's still too warm for you, you can always take off your shirt or something. It won't bother me at all" you told him, trying to be a little sneaky. You've seen pictures of him shirtless before but nothings better than the real deal in front of you. Since he called you his girlfriend you technically had permission to stare at him. You expected him to say something like 'no I'll be okay' and just lie back down with you. But he did not hesitate to take his shirt off. You would've loved to turn the lights back on to really get a look at him, but you had to act like you were unphased.

"Since I'm up, I might as well go use the restroom as well", Hyde admitted and stood up to leave the room. You caught a glimpse of the tattoo on his back. How could you forget about it? Tattooed angel wings. You really did like the tattoo a lot, it was oddly fitting for him. You turned on your bedside lamp and waited for Hyde to return. Once he did, you asked, "Can I look at your wings real quick?" you requested. Hyde was a bit confused for a second, then it clicked. "You mean my tattoo?" he said. You nodded eagerly. Hyde sat next to you and turned so his back was facing you. You admired the tattooed wings on his back. It was so well done. You put a hand on his back. His skin was very warm and smooth. It felt nice so you wrapped your arms around his waist and rested your head on his back. He felt very comfortable. You could fall back asleep like this. "What are you doing?", Hyde asked you, wanting to know why you were clinging to him. "I'm cuddling you. You're so warm" you told him, not moving. You heard him chuckle a bit, "Let's lie back down then. It'll be more comfortable" he suggested. You could do that. You let go of him so you could turn off the lights and get under the covers again. Hyde lied next to you, securing you in a koala bear hold. You gave him a quick peck on his cheek before resting more comfortably and going to sleep.

You sleep peacefully until you were dumped into a nightmare. Returning to the movie theater, watching the encounter between Hyde and Adrien once again. The two of them looked different. Hyde had angel wings, Adrien had demon wings. Obviously symbolizing how you felt about them. You couldn't see Adrien's face though, it was blacked out and you saw nothing but red glowing eyes. Scary. The two of them were fighting again. You could feel the sensation of dread rise inside you again. Adrien had scratched Hyde across his face multiple times, causing blood to spill and stain his angel wings. Hyde fought back fiercely, striking Adrien in his face as well. Adrien spat up blood, adding more vibrant red color on Hyde's wings. You tried to get yourself to move or say something, but fear had immobilized you. Adrien had caught Hyde by his throat with both hands and tried choking him. With much effort, Hyde pried Adrien's hands off him. Hyde started taking a few steps back as if getting ready to start running. Just as he stepped forward. BANG.BANG. BANG. The loud noise made you flinch and cover your ears and eyes for a moment. As you looked to see what happened, Adrien was holding a handgun in Hyde's direction. Did he shoot him? You looked at Hyde and saw he had practically froze standing. There were three bullet holes in his chest. The blood started seeping through his clothes and spreading. Hyde's body soon hit the floor lifeless, the blood continuing to pour out. You screamed in horror, "HIDETO!", surely he was dead. You noticed Adrien walking towards you. You wanted to run, but you couldn't. You were stunned and terrified. Adrien picked you up and threw you over his shoulder, about to walk away with you. You attempted to hit Adrien anywhere you could so you could escape. "Hideto! Hideto! Hideto!" you called out in agony hoping Hyde would get back up and save you. But his body still lay limp on the ground and covered in blood.

You opened your eyes and inhaled harshly as you were brought out of your nightmare and back to reality. You were breathing heavy, heart racing a hundred miles per hour. You scrambled to sit upwards and turn on the light. You checked your surroundings, you were in your room safe. "(y

)", Hyde called your name sweetly. You flinched at the sound of his voice but turned to look at him. You eagerly went over to touch his face with your hands, to double check he was alive and well. He looked at you concerned, "You were having a nightmare. Calling my name. So I tried waking you up" he explained. Flashes of the dream came back to you. All the blood and horror. It seemed too damn real. Recalling him lying on the ground covered in blood, made you start crying. The dream was terrifying. The worst nightmare you ever had. Hyde pulled you closer to him, you hugged him tightly. "It's okay. You're safe now. I'm here" he comforted you and started rubbing your back tenderly. Hyde sat there with you and let you cry until you cried enough to calm down a bit, realizing you were okay. He was okay. Everything was okay.

If he asked what you dreamt about, you didn't want to say anything about it. It was too terrifying for you to recall. You didn't even want to go back to sleep. What if you were sucked back into the same dream? Just thinking about it, made you want to start panicking again. Hyde could see your stress rising again, "Relax, my angel. Don't be scared. It wasn't real" he told you. You knew he was trying to help and you should listen to his words. But he didn't see the horror you did. It was going to be hard not to think about. Hyde grabbed your hand, trying to get your attention. It worked. You looked back at him. "I'm right here" he said, before giving you a light kiss on your forehead. You really did love his kisses. You let out a long, exhausted sigh as if trying to get all the negative thoughts out of your brain. He was here. Right here. Next to you. Not dying. Not bleeding. You had to tell yourself to be thankful. That it really was nothing but a stupid dream. "Thank you for waking me up....it really was horrible. Though, I'd rather not explain" you finally told him, now that you were calm enough to think. All you could think of was how much you really hated Adrien now. "You don't have to explain, my angel. What matters is you're not trapped in a nightmare anymore. You have your koala bear with you" he said, giving you a smile to try to make you feel better. You managed to smile back at him, you couldn't resist that face of his. "I know and I'm glad I do. But, I'm not sure if I can go back to sleep honestly" you said, moving your body closer so you could cuddle with him. Hyde wrapped an arm around your waist to hold you close to him, "I understand. If you want, I can make you sleep or we can stay up for a little bit and see how you feel", he suggested. It would be nice for him to just knock you out but maybe it was too soon. "Let's stay up. I can play a movie or something on my phone. Maybe that'll help" you told him thinking it was the better option. He nodded in agreement, "That and cuddles" he added happily. You couldn't say no to that either.

You placed your phone on the nightstand so the two of you could watch a movie as you laid down together. You decided to play a Studio Ghibli film because who doesn't love those heartfelt movies. You played your favorite movie, (favorite studio ghibli film) for the two of you to watch. As Hyde cuddled with you, along with watching the movie, you began to truly feel safe and comfortable again. You quickly got absorbed in the quirky little world of the movie along with its beautiful animation. You started yawning without much thought and ended up falling asleep as the movie was still playing.
