Chapter 41

You made it to (work\school) safely, no trouble on the way. For a second, you thought something surely would've happened. Now that everything was okay, you went on with your day and focused on the task at hand. You got up during your break to go use the restroom and drink some water at the fountain. As you were bending over to drink some water, it was like a shadow had passed behind you. The feeling of the breeze sent chills up your spine. You quickly stood up and turned to see who it was. But there was no one there with you. Please no more crazy vampire sh*t. You thought you were way past that. Once you felt safe enough, you went back to drink a little more water, then quickly went back. Upon your return, some stranger had passed you wearing a hood over their face. It instantly set off an alarm in your head, but you held yourself together. You could feel the eyes of whoever it was, drill into your back. They were looking at you and it made you hella uneasy. You could text Hyde and he'd rush over here. But it didn't seem like an immediate threat yet. Though, you'd be dumb not to say anything. So before getting back to (class\your post), you sent him a quick text.

During your (shift\class), (the professor\your supervisor) asked if anyone could run a quick errand for them. You volunteered since you were starting to feel a little bored. They gave you some paperwork that needed to be delivered. Easy enough. You went on your way to make the delivery. With no interruptions, you completed your mission and turned around to go back. Though a similar shadow and breeze has passed behind you again. You weren't going to look this time. It was just some nonsense. You were hoping. "Where's your short boyfriend, (y

)?" , someone had asked. Oh hell no. He didn't have the audacity to stalk you now, did he? You were tempted to look back. But that would give him satisfaction, wouldn't it? You kept walking, resisting as much as you could. "Don't like me anymore? Yet again, I felt like you never did", the voice followed you. Don't look. Don't look. Don't do it. You started speed walking. Then, started running. Anything to escape the voice. Whether it was a trick or really was Adrien. Once you made it back, then you decided to turn around. But thankfully, saw no one. You took a deep breath. Just a little while longer, then you can be with Hyde and everyone again.

Once you were finally finished with (work\school), you made sure to quickly high tail it out of there. Especially to avoid whatever it was you were experiencing earlier. As you got to the front of (the school\your work), you saw all the boys and Yume waiting for you outside. Your whole being brightened up to see them all and you ran over to them. "There you are, my angel" Hyde greeted you while looking you over. What was he looking for? Any injuries? That's right! You did tell him about something weird happening. "I'm okay, Hideto. Whatever it was didn't lay a finger on me" you told him. Thankfully nothing too drastic happened. But it was creepy. "I see. Did anything else weird happen besides what you told me?" he asked. You explained about the voice and how it sounded like Adrien but you physically didn't see him. "He's got balls to follow you to (work\school). His a*s is lucky we didn't catch him" Ken growled thinking about any opportunity to get back at Adrien. "I agree. But now that he's showing his willingness to stalk you, that only puts you in danger without us around" said Yukihiro as he was thinking what they should do next. "That a*shole is making everything so damn difficult. Let's just find his a*s and get it over with" Ken suggested. He wasn't wrong. Not only was it frustrating to them, but to you also. ) getting pulled into this mess more. I'm not going to let that happen. Not after what he tried to do" Hyde said. You didn't like the fact that Hyde and Ken were looking for a fight, but it may be the only way to settle things.

The six of you got some take out before heading back to your and Yume's apartment. Ken and Hyde were going to stay the night again. Yukihiro and Tetsuya were going to get in contact with Kazuma's vampire friend and see what they could do about this situation and even find out some things about Adrien. Any advantage to help us out. It was only about 7pm, but Yukihiro insisted he and Tetsuya leave early to get a head start on their investigation. It left the four of you at the apartment to sit down and relax. You thought about never finishing the movie you and Hyde were watching last night, so you suggested that the four of you watch it together. Everyone agreed. "I wanna bake some cookies real quick. I want something sweet. Wanna help Ken?" Yume asked Ken to join her. Of course, Ken didn't hesitate to agree. You were glad to see them getting along. Maybe a little too well. You were still curious to know if Ken had bit her last night? Was there a possibility of them being partners? But you said you weren't going to butt in. You and Hyde were left on the sofa to wait. "It won't be too long to make the batter. What should we do in the meantime, my koala bear?" you asked him. "If it's okay with my angel, may I bite you again?" Hyde asked politely. You remembered that he was still in the process of healing, but he was looking much better than before. You don't even recall seeing the bruises this morning that he had before. They weren't kidding that vampires heal better after drinking blood. You didn't feel any ill effects from yesterday, even if you felt like he drank more blood than previously. Logically, you should be okay. "Go ahead. I don't mind" , you agreed to his request, "Maybe I'll open my eyes and see cookies on a plate" you joked a little, not knowing if you would fall asleep again and for how long. "Maybe you will", Hyde went along with the joke before bringing you close so he could bite you comfortably. Just like before, it only stung for a moment before going numb. Each time, you were getting better at letting the pain pass and the hazy bliss set in. You relaxed your whole body so it would make it easier for Hyde. Maybe you relaxed a little too much. You quickly got sleepy and started dozing off.

). Wake up, my angel", Hyde called your name. You easily opened your eyes this time. Though you did have a bit of a headache. You didn't think too much of it though. "I think I'm relaxing a little bit too much now" you smiled, as you began to regain your consciousness. You could see Hyde's red glowing eyes for a moment before they returned to its normal color. "That's good. It makes me feel better knowing that you are relaxed" Hyde told you, petting your head affectionately. The gesture made you smile more, it felt good. Hyde saw that you enjoyed the gesture, so he kept doing it for a while, until Yume and Ken came back. "They'll be ready in 10 minutes. Let's start the movie" Yume said.
