Tetsuya came to a sudden halt in front of the busy airport. In sync, Yukihiro, Ken and I opened our doors and took off running at the same time. We bolted through the front doors, but I stopped. There were so many people here. All sorts of noises and distractions. (Y\N). Where are you? For there is no guiding star. I thought back to the festival. I found her then. I'll find her again. I have too. I focused my thoughts on her. Everything about her, down to the drops of her blood. I shifted my senses to a vampire's. Allowing me to see and hear things, I couldn't see through normal eyes. Once I caught a scent, I went after it. It was almost like a guiding trail that flowed through the crowd of people. I didn't waste a moment and followed it running as fast as I could. I could hear Yukihiro and Ken's footsteps following after me, but the sound of everything blurred out as I focused my everything on this trail.

I had no clue where I was going. All I remembered was running and dodging people left and right. I made sure to be careful, even graceful but never lose speed. I came up to a balcony next to the escalators going up and down to the next floor. Looking downwards, I caught a glimpse of (y

). That was her! There was no doubt in my mind. I had to get down there quickly. I looked at the slow moving escalators, I had no time to wait or move people out of my way in such a tight space. So I did the only thing I could think of. I jumped over the balcony down to the floor below. I didn't give myself time to embrace the impact or anyone else time to stop me and ran after (y

) as soon as my feet hit the floor. The crowd here was more dense and harder to run through, but I did my best. From my position, I saw her get into a shuttle. It would take her straight to the gate entrances. I had to make it there before it closed.

As soon as I fought through the crowd and made it to the other side, the doors closed and the shuttle took off. I couldn't stop myself in time and slammed right into the doors. I had no idea how to get to the gate on foot. So where do I sail? A ship losing control. I can't let myself lose hope now. Even if it feels like I lost already. I looked around for any signs. There was a tunnel nearby and the directions on the sign said that the gateways were in that direction. I just hope I'm fast enough to make it.

I ran down the tunnel as fast as my legs could take me. It was a straight one shot way to the other end. Once I made it to the other end, I stopped to get my bearings. So where has love gone? Will I ever reach it? I heard the sound of a machine or something slowing down and coming to a halt followed by doors opening somewhere nearby. Suddenly a trail appeared in front of me again, I must've made it here before the shuttle. I followed the trail, "(Y\N)!" I called out her name multiple times but it was no use. My cries swallowed up, lost in the raging sea. She couldn't hear me at all.

I kept going, not stopping once so I could catch up with her. From where I was, I could see her approaching the gate. Once she passed, I had no hope of reaching her afterwards. Will this be my fate? No. I can't give up just yet. But just as I thought I had the chance to catch up, she scanned her ticket and went across the other side of the turnstile. I had to get her to turn around to see me. But with all this noise, she won't be able to. I went up to the barricade and watched her begin to walk away. I stood there in defeat. Yukihiro's efforts. I'd let him down. I didn't make it in time. "You hear that mommy. My voice sounds funny with the echo", a little girl had said behind me. An echo? The walkway to the gates was domes shaped, it was likely all the voices and noise echoed off the wall. I got an idea.If there was an echo, that meant noises and even voices could travel farther. If there was one thing I could do, was sing loudly and with passion. My voice should easily carry through the tunnel and overpower all the others. I had to give this one last shot. I took a deep breath and sung the only song that came to mind, with power and desperation that my words would reach her. Every ounce of me into these words:

"So where do I sail?

A ship losing control

My cries swallowed up

Lost in a raging sea

So where has love gone?

Will I ever reach it?

The Cape of Storms

Echoes the pain I feel inside"

My song echoed down the hallway. It overpowered all the other noises. Everyone quieted down in confusion as if they were trying to figure out where the singing was coming from. Thankfully, it made it easier for my voice to be noticed. Certainly she could hear me and I know she'll recognize my voice. After I had finished, it was still quiet for a few moments. But the noisiness of the airport soon came back and nothing had changed. I looked down in defeat, so she didn't hear me. I stood there trying to catch my breath and think of what to do next. "Hideto!" someone had called my name. I looked up and could see (Y\N) running towards me.
