Chapter 27

The three of my bandmates stayed very close to me until Kazuma returned. I was still very shaky at that time but atleast the tears and headache had mostly subsided. "I want you to drink this" Kazuma gave me a cup with something in it. I guessed it was blood, but why was it in a sippy cup? Wasn't this for a baby to drink from? I was confused, along with everyone else. "I know he was throwing a fit like a baby, but are you serious!? A sippy cup? Is this a joke?" Ken said to Kazuma. By the look on Kazuma's face, it was no joke. "It's a little vampire hack I found out about while I was out visiting some family. For some reason, it kind of replicates sucking blood. Don't ask how, it just does. Give it a try, Hyde" he urged me. If he was so sure of it, might as well try it. Even if it made no sense why I should drink from a sippy cup. I put the spout in my mouth and tilted my head back so I could drink the blood that was in the cup. It was animal blood. No surprise. But as I started the motion of drinking it, it oddly became clear what Kazuma was talking about. It wasn't exactly like sucking blood out of someone but it felt familiar somehow. I was intrigued, so I kept going. Not only did I calm down quickly but I also felt relaxed. "There's no way that's working, right?" Ken was asking me for a reply, seeing that I wasn't refusing it. I took the spout out of my mouth for a moment, "He wasn't lying. It just works for some reason" I told him before going back to drinking the blood inside with no hesitation. "Who knew a baby's sippy cup could calm a vampire breakdown", Yukihiro said, surprised but not surprised at the same time. "So how did you find out about this?" Tetsuya asked Kazuma, wanting the full story. We were all curious to know. "I went out of town to visit some family as you know. You know babies, they'll stick anything in their mouth or yours if you're not paying attention" Kazuma chuckled at the thought of being caught with a sippy cup in his mouth given to him by a baby. "So it was an accident?" asked Ken dumbfounded by the simplicity of the story. "Yes. But it was beneficial in the end. Now you guys have a secret weapon. You're welcome" Kazuma replied.

After I had finished drinking the blood, I became oddly sleepy. I put the empty cup on the table in front of me before curling up in my chair a little bit. I closed my eyes. "Hyde. Hyde", Ken was trying to get my attention, but I didn't reply. I was more comfortable taking another nap. "Let him sleep. He needs it", I heard Kazuma say. "He just woke up from a nap before we got here" ,Ken told him. "It's fine. Sometimes even adults need naps" Kazuma told him. The rest of the group kept talking, but by that time I'd fallen into a deeper sleep.

More time passed while I dozed off. I woke up somewhere different though. I was lying on a sofa in an office. Where was everyone? I got up and left the room, looking for any of my friends or managers. It appears I was in a room close by where the meeting was. Everyone else was still in there. I walked back in and of course everyone stopped their conversation to look at me. "How was your nap?" Kazuma asked me. I felt refreshed. Maybe I should nap more often. "Better", I replied. I went back to the chair I was originally sitting in so I could join the conversation. "Now that you're back, I have to ask if you know where your girl lives? Which state?", Kazuma questioned. I was still half asleep, but I tried to remember if she ever told me. She never did mention it. "I'll ask her. All I know is that she lives in America", I replied. Although, she probably won't be able to text me back until she returns home. That would be at least almost a full day. "I'll let you know when she gets back to me, since she's on a plane at the moment" ,I added. I knew the sooner the better, but I can't rush a reply from her. "I see. Let me know the minute she does reply. It will make the process easier for us. In the meantime,since there's no concerts or anything else planned, the best thing for us to do is stay put for now" Kazma said.

After the meeting was finished, I sent (y

) a text. I knew she wouldn't reply right away. But hopefully it would be sooner than I'd expect her to.

Your POV

The flight back to (state where you live) was really long. How did you ever survive the first flight to Japan? As soon as you landed in the airport, and was able to get good reception, you received a text. It was from Hyde. He wanted to know what state you lived in. You don't recall ever telling him. You texted him back which state and the name of the city. He wasn't planning to come fly to see you already was he? Or maybe he was thinking of sending you something by mail. Either one would be amazing. Maybe you'd call him once you and Yume got back home.

After another trip back home, exhausted from the long flight, you just set your belongings on the floor the first chance you got and went into the bedroom to lie down. You took out your phone and decided to call Hyde, like you planned, Though as the phone was ringing, you realized that there is a huge time difference between the two of you now. Hopefully, you weren't waking him up in the middle of the night. After a few seconds, you thought he wasn't going to answer. "Moshi moshi", Hyde replied. You suddenly got some energy back and perked up once you heard his voice. "I'm so happy you picked up" you said happily. "I wouldn't miss your call for anything, my angel" ,he replied. You could just imagine his smile and cute face. It made you happy. "What time is it in Japan? Just curious" you asked him. You could've looked it up on your phone, but you wanted him to tell you. "It's 3 in the morning" he said. Three in the morning!? He should be sleeping!? Or did you wake him up? "Did I wake you up?", you asked feeling a little bad for doing so, if that was the case. "No. I was awake. I couldn't sleep. I took a nap earlier" Hyde explained. Oh. "I see. Are you the only one awake?" you asked, assuming everyone else is sleeping. "Un. I'm glad you called. I was getting a little bored being alone" he told you. Aw he was lonely and you weren't there to be with him. This sucks!
