Chapter 10

The two of you got some ramune. Your chose (orange ,strawberry,melon,original,grape) ramune. For the rest of the evening you spent your time with him. It was nice he could be somewhere public with you. It felt like a real date, but where would the two of you go next for another date? You wanted to be able to see his face instead of it being behind a mask. "So Hyde, will we be able to see each other again before I leave?" you asked it. You had to bring it up sooner or later. You don't recall telling him at all. " I don't think I told you this but, I'm not going to be in Japan for much longer" ,you added. The thought made you feel overcome with a sudden sadness. How could you forget you were only here for such a short time. How did you not mention this earlier? Surely he'd be mad. Putting in all this effort to be with you only for you to leave. He stopped walking, causing you to stop walking. This couldn't be good, right? "Is that so? Well it might make things a bit hard.But...." Hyde started but didn't finish his thought. You waited for a reply. Hoping it was a positive reply. "I guess I'll have to fly to my angel to see her" ,he finished. He'd go that far to see you? But wasn't he busy, being a celebrity and all? Though the band's last concert was yesterday. Surely this was one hell of a favor to ask. "A-are you sure? I wouldn't want to get in the way of your work or the band" you told him. This really was a hard decision for him and for you. You'd feel bad for him just dropping the band like that, but you wanted him to come with you at the same time. Hyde looked to be deep in thought. He was really considering his options. "I really can't give you a straight answer. All I know is I'm going to follow my feelings. I'm not going to give up just because distance will be in the way" he told you with a determined attitude. He was serious. You were happy to hear he didn't want to end this relationship with you. But so many factors weigh heavy on your mind like (work\school). Though maybe it was best to think about it when you got back home. You should be relieved he still wanted to be with you despite what was going to happen. You didn't want to give up on him either. Not sure how you'd work out a long distance relationship, but there surely is a way to figure it out. You looked at him directly, "I won't give up either. Let's find a way" you told him. Hyde nodded, "We will,my angel. Now let's not stress about it now. We still have a little time before the night ends" he told you, giving you a smile to make you feel better. You smiled back at him, feeling a little better. The two of you really felt the same about each other. It was like you were connected on a deeper level. You couldn't explain it.

But it had to be true what people said, right? That love will find a way?

You and Hyde returned to the window shop. You recalled that he would pick out something for you. You took a look again, maybe you made up your mind this time. But no luck. You were still stuck. "You still want me to pick something for you?" he asks, still seeing you were indecisive. You nodded, "Of course. I still want to see what you think I'd like" you told him. Though anything from him would be special anyways. You'd be happy with anything. "Just one question. You're not allergic to anything are you?" he asked. The question seemed to be a bit random. What was he thinking of? "Not that I know of. Are you talking about a food allergy?" you replied to him. Though why would he ask now if the two of you already ate. "Not that kind of allergy. I meant allergies to metal or fabric" he clarified. Oh. Was he thinking of getting you something to wear? Nothing made your skin break out, as far as you knew. "No. Everything should be okay for me to wear" you told him. He smiles, "Okay. Perfect. I want this to be a surprise. So don't look" he told you with a bit of excitement. Did he already find something? "Fine. I'll just turn around" you said, though it was hard to not try and peek. It took Hyde a few more minutes to decide. It felt more like an eternity. You were anxious to see what he was gonna get. "Very good, sir. I'm sure she'll love this" you heard someone, most likely the vendor, say out loud. That very second, you want to turn around. The temptation was so bad. "Alright, my angel. I want you to close your eyes and turn around" Hyde finally told you. You wanted to turn around regardless, but you did as he requested. You kept your eyes shut as best you could. You felt him grab your dominant hand and put something around your wrist. "Can I open my eyes now? Please" you said anxiously wanting to see. He chuckled, "You can look now" ,he said, still holding on to your hand. Finally! You opened your eyes and looked down at the hand he was holding. It was a (silver\gold) bracelet. It had a cute charm of a (heart\angel wing\music note) on it. "Hyde...this is beautiful" you told him in awe. Sure jewelry was an obvious thing to pick, but you didn't think he'd get you something like this so soon. "I wanted you to have something you could wear, until we were able to meet again after you leave. But I'm going to make sure we have another date before you go" he told you honestly. You looked up at him, connecting your gaze with his. Despite the mask being in the way. His words were genuine. It made you want to cry. Tears of joy, of course. Mostly because you've never been treated this nicely by a man before. It felt amazing and you were for sure falling deeper in love with Hyde. Even more so before this date even started. "This means alot to me. Thank you" you said trying not to cry, though you could feel the tears wanting to come out. Hyde could tell from the tone of your voice that you were on the verge, "You can let it out if you want. I'm here" he said very sweetly. Damn did that tug on your heart string. So much so, you did let the tears flow loose. Not sobbing, but just a few tears that streamed down your cheeks freely. Hyde pulled you into his arms and rubbed your back tenderly, so you could have your moment. It took you a few minutes for your breathing to return to normal.

"(Y\N)! Hideto!", someone had called out your names. You moved your head in the direction it was coming from. It was Yume, followed by Leo. You came out of Hyde's embrace so you could face them. You felt Hyde grab your hand so he could hold it. "Not to ruin the date or anything, but my uncle needs to get the car ready for a tune up tomorrow. So we should be heading back" Yume told you. Well that was a huge mood killer and anyone would want a night such as this to keep going. But as Hyde sings in Cape of Storms, 'But every dream has its time to die'. Sad to say, that was kind of a true fact. You didn't want this dream to end, no one would. But he said he'd try his best to see you before you leave. You'd just have to trust him. You looked up at Hyde, "I guess this is it for now" you said looking a bit sad and disappointed. Hyde looked back at you. You could tell he felt the same. "Don't be sad, my angel. Remember, I'll do my best to see you again soon" he said, taking your mask off so he could see your face. Hyde takes the hand you were wearing the bracelet on and kisses it softly on its backside. "Let me know when you made it home safely" ,he says. You blushed at his chivalrous gesture. You never had a man kiss your hand before. It felt like something a knight would do to a princess. "Awww isn't that cute Leo" Yume admired the cute gesture. Now you were twice as embarrassed with an audience. "I won't forget" you replied to Hyde, still embarrassed. You badly want to take off his mask, so you could see him before leaving. But you knew you couldn't. Though how long could you keep this a secret from Yume and Leo. Maybe you could discuss this with him before you went back home. You'd feel guilty keeping this from your friends forever. "Be safe, angel" ,Hyde smiled. You nodded, "Goodbye H-Hideto" you said. It felt awkward calling him by his first name. Not that it was wrong or anything. Maybe because it was typically more intimate for a Japanese person to call them by their first name. You began to leave with Yume and Leo. But you wanted to look at him once more. So you turned your head to look back at Hyde, but he was gone. It was barely 30 seconds. Did he just melt into the crowd that easily?
