Chapter 49

You can't let them fight over you, trying to kill each other. Even if Adiren was an as*shole. No one really deserved to die. This was insane! "What!? You know I can't let you two do that Hyde! There has to be something else. Another way" you said, starting to panic and remembering the first fight they two of them had. This one would be 100x worse. He sighed frustrated, "I had a feeling you would react this way. It's why I didn't want to tell you. It would be too much for you to bear" he told you. He wasn't wrong there. You had a right to freak out, Though, this would be a perfect explanation why he's been acting so weird. Sh*t. No wonder why he didn't say anything. He did know you a bit too well. "My angel, I'm sorry for such upsetting news. But I have to do this for you. So far, there is no other way to break the connection Adrien has with you", Hyde explained. Now a part of you wished you didn't know about this. But would've you still been upset with him if he chose to still not say anything to you? That was a hard call.

If they planned to fight, surely they decided on a date. "When are you two going to fight?" you asked him. You had to be there, not to watch but to stop it. "I don't know. We haven't decided yet. Adrien said he'd let me know by tomorrow so it would give us time to find an alternative", Hyde told you. It sounded like Adrien didn't want to fight either. Which was a good thing. It was a relief that he'd give Hyde time to try to find another way. "I see. Do the boys know about this?" you asked. He'd need all the help he can get to find a way. He nodded, "Yes. Yukihiro and Tetsuya and doing their best to get some information. Maybe Adiren will have something as well" Hyde said. You sure hope someone found something. You can't let no one get hurt or die on your watch. You can't bear to have that on your conscience. "You'll tell me once you find something right? If you do have to fight, I want to know" you said to him. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that, but the least you did deserve was to know about any updates. "If you wish to know, I'll tell you. I'll make sure to bring the band with me when I meet up with Adrien again. Just in case" he told you. Certainly they wouldn't let Hyde or Adrien fight with them there. It did make you feel better. "I like the sound of that. Thank you" you smiled before letting out a yawn. It was still a bit early and you didn't sleep all that well last night. Copying your behavior accidentally, Hyde also let out a yawn. You could possibly go lie back down to try to get some sleep. Though now that everything was okay now between you and Hyde, you wanted him to come with you. But was it too soon?

"Did you sleep okay on the sofa?" you asked, trying to get yourself warmed up to ask him. "It was comfortable, but I couldn't stop myself from thinking all night long. I didn't get much sleep" he informed you of his night. Guess you weren't the only one tossing and turning. "I didn't get much sleep either.... Even though I went to bed a bit early" you told him your side. You were being a bit shy and started looking elsewhere. You just wanted to blurt out the question. You knew what he'd say already. "I'm sorry, my angel. If I didn't act the way I did, you would've been able to sleep better" Hyde apologized knowing the reason was because of him. "I know. It's okay" you said "It is still a bit early in the morning, you know" you told him hoping he'd get the hint and ask you. Though it was your room, maybe he wouldn't ask and wait for you to mention it. "Really?What time is it?" Hyde asked, taking a peek at the time on his phone "Oh. It is still kind of early" he said, agreeing with you. You waited for a few moments to see if he'd ask. But you could see he was also waiting for you to say something. It was very awkward. You sighed, grabbing one of his hands before standing up and giving him a little tug in the right direction. He looked up at you, getting the message. "It's okay with you?" he asked, wanting to make sure he was reading the situation correctly. You nodded, "I-I want my koala bear.....to squeeze me tight....and not let go" you said blushing like a fool. Sleeping without him made you feel alone. Hyde pushed aside the blankets so he could stand up too. "Never again" he vowed to you. You led the way back to your room, so the two of you could lie down together. You didn't waste a moment, making yourself comfortable. You were instantly drawn to the warmth of his body. Hyde's arms pulled you close, keeping you secure. Just last night alone, made you feel like you were apart for an eternity. But now, heaven has returned again. With him there now, you had no trouble falling back asleep.

Sleeping in for a few hours, you eventually woke up. Luckily, today was your free day. So you could've slept all day. But a morning nap made you feel much better. Hyde was, no surprise, still sleeping. This time, you had no trouble getting out of his grasp so you could leave the room. Yume and Ken were probably wondering where Hyde was or if you were alright. You opened the door to leave but was surprised when you found Yume outside your door. "There you are. I was about to check on you" she said, also surprised to run into you. "Everything is fine, Yume. I just needed to sleep in" you explained before going to the kitchen to make yourself some food. You felt a bit hungrier than usual. You started pulling the things you needed to get cooking, Hyde was probably gonna want something too, so you started to prepare more food than to just feed you. "Are you that hungry?" asked Yume, finding the amount of food you were making to be more than what you usually made. Right, she probably thinks you and Hyde haven't talked things out yet. "I am feeding a grown man too. You know how they eat" you told her. Yume looked puzzled for a second before making the connection. "So you and Hyde?" she started the sentence so she wasn't making any assumptions. You nodded, "We made up. He's asleep in my room. Both of us really didn't sleep well" you explained to her. "I'm happy to hear that. I was a bit worried about you. I'm sure Ken will be happy too. We both were concerned about the two of you" she told you. Speaking of Ken, "Where is your man by the way?" you asked her. "He's in the shower. He should be out soon" she told you.

You and Yume kept talking as you were cooking. Eventually, Hyde came out of the room to join you. For a second, it didn't even feel like yesterday happened. As it was a dream, you guess taking a nap with him did really make you feel better.
