Jongin's POV

The car ride to his house was mostly silent with only the radio playing some song I couldn't recognize softly in the background. I tried to keep my eyes ahead of me, but they had grown a mind of their ever since I imprinted on him and would sneak occasional glances at him. He never seemed to notice though, so I figured I'd just let them do as they pleased while they still could.

We pulled up to his house and he parked the car along the concrete curb before turning the car off. It wasn't until we had gotten out of the car that I got a good look at his house. It was on the smaller side, but it was quaint and felt homey. It was a beige color, the window shutters were dark brown and there were a few flowers and bushes scattered out front giving it a more colorful look.

"So, you're sure your parents won't mind me being here?" I asked, being the first one to break the silence.

"Yeah, I'm sure they won't," he said with a sigh as he pulled out his house key and unlocked the door. There was something about the tone in which he said those words, the way he let out a small, almost frustrated sigh that made me wonder what he really meant by that. I wanted to ask him, but it didn't feel like the right move. It's not like I didn't understand him though. I didn't like talking about my parents either.

"Just make yourself comfortable," he said when we got inside and after he shut the door. "I'm gonna go change really quick. I'll be right back."

"Okay," I replied, bending over to slip my shoes off and set them by the door before stepping inside. He jogged up the stairs and I took my time and looked around at everything.

There was a short hallway in front of me and in it was a long, table that was home to photos, but I didn't walk down far enough to see what of. Instead, I went into the living room, where I saw even more framed photographs. Those particular ones were mostly old family pictures of him when he was young. I couldn't help but smile a little; he was pretty cute when he was a kid. He had those same big eyes and that same contagious smile. Every cute feature he had today was still there in the photos. I didn't get time to look at the others before I heard his quick steps vibrate the stairs and walk into the living room.

"Do you want anything from the kitchen?" he asked, pointing in that direction.

"Uh, just water is fine," I said.

"Okay," he said before disappearing into the kitchen. I sat down on one of the couches and laid my bag next to me on the couch, and D.O came back a minute or so later with a couple of glasses of water.

"Thanks," I said, carefully taking it from his hand. He just nodded in response and sat down a few inches away from me on the same couch.

"Okay, so how do you want to do this?" he asked after gulping down a drink of water. "Do you want to read it together or separately?"

"I usually get pretty bored at home, so I could take half and you could take the other half if that's okay with you," I suggested.

"Yeah, and then we can meet up once or twice every week and collaborate," he said.

"Alright," I said as I pulled my book out of my bag and opened to the beginning of the first act.

"Let's just see how far we can get today and then we can split up the scenes and what not," he said, opening his books as well. "Do you want me to start?" he asked once we were both on the same page.

"Yeah, go ahead," I said, adjusting myself into a more comfortable position on the couch.

"Okay," he said. "Will you be okay if I read in English? He did say there was a Korean translation, so you can follow along with that if you want."

"Yeah, I'll be fine," I said, nodding my head and yawning a little. "You can do whatever you want."

"Okay," he said before clearing his throat and beginning to speak. "Sampson: Gregory, on my word, we'll not carry coals..."

As he kept on reading, I couldn't help but get lost in his voice. He read every line in almost flawless English and it was like I was listening to angel speak. I didn't know how one human being could be so perfect in pretty much every aspect, but I couldn't help but feel like I was beginning to fall for him even more than Fate wanted me to.

Kyungsoo's POV

"Anon, anon! Come, let's away. The strangers all are gone." Kai finished reading the last scene of Act 1 and I looked at the time on my phone after closing my book.

"I think that's enough for today," I said, shoving the small and slightly damaged book back in my backpack. "You can read Act 2 and I'll take Act 3 and then we can meet on Friday to talk about it. We can figure out what to do with the last act then too."

"Sounds good," he said, his voice muffled by his hand as a yawn escaped.

"I can take you home if you want. I'm sure it's a long walk from here," I offered.

"No, that's fine," he said, shaking his head. "You've done enough already. Besides, a little exercise won't kill me." I faintly smiled at him and then he threw his bag over his shoulder just as a knock came from the front door. I got up to go see who it was and was caught off guard to see that it was Chanyeol.

"Hey Yeol, what's up?" I asked as I opened the door.

"Did you forget?" he said, making me even more baffled. "We have the night shift tonight at the book store."

"Oh, shit, I did forget," I cursed, rubbing my face with my free hand. "Okay, I'll give us a ride there. Just let me get my uniform first." I started to go up the stairs as Chanyeol walked in and I stopped to introduce them. "Kai, this is my friend Chanyeol and Chanyeol, this is Kai. We have to go to work, so I'm just gonna drop you off at your house."

"Oh okay, thanks," Kai said. I smiled at him and then ran up the stairs before grabbing my work uniform and bolting back down the stairs.

Once we were back outside, Kai offered to take the back seat, leaving Chanyeol and I to sit up front. He gave me directions to his house and as much as I trusted him to know where his own house was, but I began to get curious when we entered a more wooded area. Finally, we started driving on a paved driveway and I kept the car moving up it until we pulled up in front of a large house. It was huge actually. It was probably the biggest house that I had ever seen.

"Thanks for the ride," Kai said as he got out of my car and shut the door. "I really appreciate it." I shivered slightly when he spoke and shot me a small smile, but I didn't let it show. This guy was seriously pushing my buttons.

"You're welcome," I said, plastering on a smile. "Anytime." He flashed another one of his deadly smiles at me and I could literally feel my heart skip at least two beats from inside my chest. What the hell was he doing to me? Who gave him permission to make me feel like this? I certainly didn't.

"You can just go straight ahead and it will lead you back around the way you came in," he said, pointing in the direction of the curved driveway ahead.

"Okay," I said with a small nod. "I'll see you at school then."

"You bet," he said. "See ya." Then, with one last wave, he started for the front door and I waited until he was inside before I put the car in drive.

"He was kind of weird, wasn't he?" Chanyeol commented, observing him as he walked inside.

"I don't think so," I said. "I think he's sweet." I smiled a little to myself at the thought of him and then pulled off down the driveway.
