Sirius and I ran out, him still bare-chested only to find Remus nursing a wound on his calf.

"What the fuck happened?" I asked.

"None of those dangerous creatures Moody warned you about," He exhaled deeply and Sirius and I both slumped our shoulders.

"What was it?" Sirius asked and it was probably ages since they'd spoken civilly.

"A chupacabra," Remus said.

I froze, they're known for vampirism - "Rem - "

"It was about to bite one of the thestrals, I'm fine. It tried to bite me too but fire scares them and I had my wand with me. It tore my skin a little, I believe."

I went back inside my tent and got my first aid kit which had both potions and muggle healing instruments. Outside, Sirius was standing with his arms crossed.

"You'll have to use a healing spell but with crazy precision, because it isn't a big wound but not a small one, either," I explained.

"I'll do it." Sirius volunteered.

"Are you sure?"

"I've done healing spells most of my life, El. It's fine."

Remus and I looked at each other and I nodded, "I'll keep the blood-replenishing potion handy so you don't feel faint."

Sirius bent down on his knees, wand positioned in front of Remus's bruise as he slowly whispered a healing spell.

A minute passed, then two and the wound had barely healed. "If you take any longer, it'll heal of natural causes."

Sirius shot me a glare, "If you can do it better, why don't you try with the same precision I'm using?"

I rolled up my sleeves and pushed him away, my wand out. As I started healing, I realised it did take time because of the amount of inconsistent tears in the skin.

"I've grown a beard since you started closing the wound." My husband said.

"Do you feel any better?" I asked Remus, ignoring him.

"He'll feel a lot better when he's healed." Sirius interrupted.

"Maybe I don't know, shut up?"

He huffed arrogantly and took my place again, "Watch,"

I gritted my teeth and stood up. Within the minute, Remus winced twice. "Really Sirius, are you working for Remus or the wound?"

"I'm sorry," He said sarcastically.

"Don't apologise to me, apologise to Remus."

I might've seen a twitch of Remus' lips but it was gone before I could confirm. Sirius stood up, admiring his work before looking at me. "And that's how it's done."

"I was doing just fine," I shot him a look.

"Really, El, I've seen faster hands on the clock."

"Bastard," I whispered before moving back into the tent.

"I heard that!" He yelled.

"You were meant to," I yelled back.

We reached our destination by 10 AM that day. It was more of a demolished old building than a cave but one might not be able to distinguish.

"One has to stay outside," I told them both.

"I'll do it," Remus declared. "Hearing and all that."

I nodded, getting the crossbow ready in my left hand and my wand in my right. "Vervain?" I asked Sirius and he mumbled a yes.
