There is a simultaneous chorus of 'Noooo' and I'm pretty sure my voice is the loudest.
"The last time we played this game," Ella says, "Is when we were in the fifth year and it ended with Remus and Peter running around naked."
"They made two laps around the entire school," I add with a grin.
"You got Remus to drink?" Elena asks, bewildered.
"Just once," Remus flushes.
Her smile drops when he speaks and I watch her put on another faux grin. I'm surprised that no one else noticed.
Marlene takes all of our cups and pours a few drops of veritaserum into them. She accidentally drops more than the necessary amount in Elena's bottle and makes a guilty face.
"It's fine," Elena shrugs.
"No, it'll stay on for longer," Marlene says but shrugs, too. "Who's going first?"
"We'll spin!" James announces and even though Lily protests about the game and the drinking, she's clearly having fun.
James brings up an empty glass bottle and places it on the low table in front of us. I sit down on the floor like everyone else and then it starts.
"DORCAS!" Mary fist pumps the air. "I ask."
"Go on," Marlene grins.
"Veritaserum or dare?"
Dorcas grimaces before choosing dare, "Whoever in this room would you like to kiss the most, kiss them. Except for your girlfriend."
Dorcas doesn't hesitate before saying, "Elena."
Elena makes a surprised sound and then laughs when Dorcas cups her jaw and crashes her lips to hers.
Marlene gasps, "You cheated on me in front of my eyes!"
"Veritaserum or dare, Marls." Dorcas shrugs with a grin.
Elena wipes the corner of her lips for smudged lipstick and has a grin to rival Dorcas' on her face.
"I go next," Lily announces. She spins the bottle and it lands on Peter. "Pete, what d'you choose?"
"Dare." He says simply.
Lily pursed her lips before declaring, "I dare you to play this entire game in your knickers."
"LILY!" James looked at her but the redhead was too busy laughing.
"What? My birthday, right?" She made an innocent face and the rest guffawed.
"My turn!" Ella announced gleefully and spun the bottle. It landed on me.
