Nightfall, Same day.
Warm, thousand burning candles warm

I am being ushered to my table. My table.

As in my Gryffindor table with my newly reddened tie and robes. Red and gold, my, colour. I was a motherfudging Gryffindor who stood for bravery which I had nada of.

Ella is glaring at me so hard, I think my head might fall off. When I go to sit far away from her, her friend, Alice, calls my name. I want to run.

"Come sit with us, Elena!"

Now Ella is glaring at Alice, and twice as hard. I smile from where I'm standing and shake my head. "Nah, I'm good."

Remus meets my eyes and frowns. I'm sure he noticed Ella, too. I care so bad about Ella that I know she's going to hurt me. I know it because I've never allowed myself to get hurt ever since my mother and the only two people who could ever do something like that to me were Ella and grandfather. Ella even more – she's my sister after all.

She does not behave like that and it hurts me. I am suddenly angry instead of ashamed.

I avert my stare and move to sit next to the first person I see. It's another fucking ginger. Why are there all redheads here? I shouldn't be talking, I'm one too.

He smiles at me and my eyes nearly bulge out when his carbon copy smiles at me, too. It takes me embarrassingly long to realise they're twins.

"I'm Fabian."

"I'm Gideon."

I narrow my eyes at them. "You're Gideon." I point to the one who introduced himself as Fabian and turn to the one who did as Gideon. "And you're Fabian, aren't you?"

Now it's their turn to widen their eyes. "Godric, help us." Said Gideon.

"Even our mother hasn't been able to figure that out since we were born!" Fabian exclaimed.

"How'd you know - ?" Asked Gideon.

"In a moment's time - ?" Fabian continued.

"I knew a set of twins at Beauxbatons, they used to pull the same tricks." I rolled my eyes with a smile. "I've got twin trust issues now."

"Rightfully so." Fabian shrugged.

"You're smarter than anyone over here, though." Gideon cackled.

"Yeah, they haven't figured out we're not Fabian and Gideon – "

"But Gideon and Fabian – "

"For six years now." Fabian sighed dramatically. "Why'd you come here?"

I blush at the straightforward question, "Pardon?"

"He means why did you change schools." Gideon rolled his eyes, elbowing his twin in the stomach.

"Git." Fabian shot him a glare.

"Uh . . . " I didn't know how to do this without telling them my grandfather was sick. I was so sure that even Ella didn't know it and I knew that if he wanted it known, he would have told her. "My grandfather says he can't visit me in France, the holidays were very limited and sometimes I only saw him once a year or two. So,"

"Hogwarts," Gideon smirked.

"Hogwarts, Hogwarts," Fabian suddenly hummed.

"Hoggy Warty Hogwarts," Gideon continued between laughs.

I was sure my face was the definition of confusion because Fabian started laughing, too.

"Teach us something please," His voice was awful, and I laughed with them.
