Once I get back home topper was already there waiting for me
"Hey. Hey how's John B? Is he... is he doin' all right?" Topper asks as I try to walk past him "Like you give a damn" I scoff "You realize I did not push him. He lost his balance and fell" Topper says "Are you really defending yourself?" I ask him "He fell against the rail. Not my fault" Topper says "Wow I can't believe you" I say starting to walk off again "You forget about us like... Midsummers was supposed to be our... our party. That was supposed to be something special right?" Topper says "Are you kidding me? Topper we weren't ever together! We weren't and were never going to be a thing!" I tell him "No no we were Stella! We were! Because I love you!" Topper yells at me "No topper no you don't!" I yell "I love you!" Topper yells again "No! You love the idea of me. You love being seen with me..." I start to say "Stop" Topper says "...but you don't love, me." I finish "You have no idea what I'm feeling. You have no clue. What about... what about this summer? Right? This summer was supposed to be legendary." He says "Yeah it will be, just you won't be apart of it" I tell him "You definitely won't after last night" I add "Oh after last night?" Topper asks "Yeah" I say "You... you wanna talk about last night?" Topper asks me "Sure" I say facing him "Did you forget the part where you cheated on me? Huh? Did you forget about that?" Topper asks getting in my face "Oh my God!! We went together topper! Get that through your thick skull!" I yell back "You're a slut! You know that? You're a slut!" He yells at me "Hey. Watch your mouth when you talk about my daughter!" my dad yells walking into the room "Your daughter's banging a Pogue..." Topper starts to say but my dad grabs him by the throat "Dad" I say gasping "You need to go home Topper" dad tells him "Dad stop!" I tell him getting flashbacks of my mom My dad leads him to the door and let go. Topper quickly runs off in shock My dad turns to me "I'm sorry" he says giving me a hug as tears flood my eyes
A little later John b had called me saying they needed help on the boat.
"Yeah it should be right there" John b says to kie and I as we look at the wires "John b what are you talking about this is completely fine" I say and turn around to see he's gone Kie and I look at each other before walking out to see them leaving on the other boat
I hear a noise by my feet and open up the hatch to see Sarah "Sarah?" I ask "Oh hell no" kie says besides me Sarah climbs out as we all look at the boys "What are you doing?" I yell "Until Sarah and kie can figure out what ever the hell is going on between them y'all stay on the boat" JJ tells us "Why the hell am I here then?!" I yell "To make sure they don't kill each other!" John b tells me "No no no! Get back here!" Sarah yells taking off her shirt "What are you doing? It's like a 8 mile swim back to the shore" kie says "Rather that then stay here with you" she says jumping off the boat "Sarah don't there's-" I start to say but I'm cut off by her screaming "Jellyfish" I finish "Ow I just got stung by a jellyfish!" She yells swimming back to the boat I help her back up as kie just stands there
"You know what this means right?" Sarah asks "One of you has to pee on me" she tells us "Umm I know we're twins and all but I think I'm good" I tell her "Kie?" I ask smiling at her "I have a better idea" she says walking off
"Wow. Would you rather... have... I was imagining you like this just now. It was pretty funny. Would you... would you rather... have nipples for eyes or eyes for nipples? Imagine if you get really old and your nipples... Your boobs get saggy and your nipples if they were your eyes, you could see if your shoes were untied." Sarah laughs "Is this like your first time smoking or something?" Kie asks her "No" Sarah says. "Yes." I answer for her "Hey kie-" Sarah starts to say again "Ugh stop with the 'hey kie'. Why'd you do it?" Kie asks her "Do what?" Sarah asks "You know what! We were best friends, we were the unstoppable trio. Then you threw it away" kie says Sarah lets out a big sigh but before she can speak I stand up "I'll let y'all settle this alone while I go grab another blunt" I say walking off
Once I get back kie and Sarah we're cracking up laughing "So I'm guessing yall made up?" I ask "Yep" Sarah says "Girlhood" kie winks at me I sit back down and give the blunt to kie "So back to the unstoppable trio?" I ask them "Yeah, we will have to plan the hangouts though because y'all are normally not available" Sarah says laughing a bit "Wait what do you mean?" I ask "Well you know when you joined their crew I didn't get to spend as much time with you anymore cause you were always gone" Sarah tells me "Well with me, I thought you were going all kook on us" kie says "Really?" I ask them both I sit there for a second realizing I didn't spend as much time with the crew or Sarah, before the whole gold thing of course. Because I was always having to do something with the kooks "I have an idea" I smile looking at the stars "What?" Kie asks "Sarah quick little recap. We found the gold and it's under the Crain house" I tell her "Under the axe murderer's house?" Sarah asks me "Yep" kie says "Why are you telling me?" Sarah asks "Well I have been living one foot in both worlds for way too long. So why not bring everyone I want to be with into one. Plus Sarah you said the way the pogues live is actually living" I explain "You want me to join the crew?" Sarah asks me "Yeah exactly" I say "I'm down for that" kie says "What about the boys?" Sarah asks "With kie and I on the same boat they will agree" I smile and Sarah smiles back at me "To going full pogue?" I ask Sarah "To going full pogue" she repeats as we all three cheer
"So did it work?" John b asks "Definitely not" I tell them the same time Sarah and kie say "Not at all" Sarah says "Nope" kie tells them "It looks like it did to me" he says "Well actually it only worked if you guys agree to one condition" kie says "What is that?" JJ asks "Sarah joins the crew" I tell them The boys just turn and look at each other "Look all I care about is her cut comes out of your share." JJ points at me "Deal" I smirk
