Part 8

We all show up to John b's in the morning seeing if he was still alive, and to tell him what ended up happening last night. John b was there luckily and he started explaining where he has been
"Yeah yeah so we um... we went to the archives in Charleston and uh... it was... it was a dead end.
A dry hole. So..." John b finishes
"So that's the gold the cross and now El Dorado. We're three-for-three guys. The streak continues." Pope says throwing his hands up. We all start to heads separate ways.

I was going to leave with Sarah but something seemed off with John b so I thought I would talk to him
"We're together right?" I ask him
"Yeah." He nods
"So that means we always tell each other the truth" I tell him
"Stella I am telling the truth. What you think I'm. I'm lying? Is that what you think?" John b asks me
"No no no I- it's just...The story that you told us isn't really adding up. You guys get the Twinkie and go off to Charleston without telling anyone and I'm just trying to understand why. If there's anything that you can't tell the others you can tell me." I tell him
"Mmm." John b nods
"Look look at me. What happened? You've just been acting so off since your dad got back" I tell him
What happened?" He says
"Yes John B. It's me. I'm on your side." I tell him
"Okay Stella you know what happened? My dad came back. And he's trying to help all of us. And meanwhile your dad tried to kill you. And I'm sorry that you can't deal with that." John b tells me. I stare at him in disbelief as my eyes start to tear up
"Am I wrong?" John B asks me as I take a deep breath
"Call me when you wanna tell the truth" I tell him then walk off.

I head to kie's house and knock on the door.
"Hey sorry Idon't mean to bother if this is a bad time" I say
"No you're good" Kie says
"Okay. Um..." I start to say
"What's going on?" Kie asks me
"John B and I kind of got into like a little fight" I tell her
"Yeah he's been acting so gripped since his dad got back" Kie tells me
"Yeah and basically I don't have anywhere to stay and Rafe's at Tannyhill and I was just wondering like maybe I could stay here with you?" I ask her
"Yeah. Of course" Kie says moving out of the way to let me in
"Hey hey. No. What did we talk about Kie? Boundaries." Mr. Carrera shakes his head
"Honey. Come on. You got to try and respect our time. We're trying to respect yours right?" Mrs. Carrera says
"Listen Stella I'm sorry. You're always welcome here but come tomorrow" Mr. Carrera tells me
"Right now we just need some family time." He says
"It's fine. Yeah. No I understand." I nod trying to smile
"I'm sorry" Kie says
"Um I'll probably just hit up JJ or something" I tell her
"I'll see you later" Kie says as I walk off

I get to JJ's house and knock on the door. But no answer. I walk to the back door and see a 'eviction' sign on it.
"JJ!!!" I yell banging on the door but of course no answer

I sit on the grass letting a few tears fall
I have no clue where Sarah is. I have no where to sleep tonight. I had no other choice but head down to the docks.

I see the Tiki Bar, but it was closed. I was so thirty and hot I grab a can from the cooler and hold it to my head. I hold the tap up to my mouth drinking out of it.
"Stella?" I hear someone say and I look up to see

"What are you... What are you doing?" Topper asks me
"Hi Topper." I wave
