"John b!! John b!! Hey guys! Help! Cleo! John b!" I shouted banging the walls with pope. We both held onto the ladder close to the top, hoping that John b or cleo would hear us
"Help! Help!" I yell "Can anyone hear us?! The waters rising, we're gonna drown! Help!" Pope yells "Please help!" I yell But then I hear something "Pope shh did you hear that? Please please" I mumble knowing I heard someone out there "Anyone?!" I yell then a few seconds later part of the stone cracks and the dust falls down
We both turn are faces not wanting to get dust in our eyes. "Get down, get down" pope tells me "Oh my God" I mumble as we climb back down "Get out of the way!" I hear cleo yell from the other side as we reach the bottom
More dust falls as we hear them keep hitting it. "John b!" I yell "John b! Cleo!" Both pope and I yell
I hear now banging as little pebbles of stone fall. I look down at my feet to see rats. "Oh God no rat rat rat. I hate rats" I mumble "At least it's not a snake!" Pope mumbles back just then the whole thing came crashing down. I let out a yelp as I move out of the way as it hits the ground. I start to cough as I was breathing in dust.
"Hey you guys!" John b yells "Hey Sarah grab the rope. You guys better hurry. There might be rats or snakes down there" cleo says and I just make a face before climbing out
I sat in the passengers seat with the door open as John b stood in front of me. "I was gonna pull the trigger. Right in the street. What the hell was I thinking? I mean, how am I any different from my dad? I was.. I was gonna do it." John b tells me "But you didn't John b. That's the difference. Nobody got hurt, and you didn't hurt anybody." I tell him and he leans against the side of the boat
I get up and go stand next to him. "This blue crown, I don't even- I don't give a shit." He says "Not even a little?" I ask "No i'm tired of putting you in danger. I- I just wanna go home. I wanna go back to our normal." He tells me "Ok let's go home. Easy." I say leaning my back against the boat "Yeah" he mumbles and looks out
I do my best to keep my laughter in knowing he still wants to do this. "You're not even a little curious what those smugglers took from the catacombs?" I ask "No I...I mean I would be yes, but you said you didn't see anything and there was no treasure. So I don't understand" he tells me "I did see a scroll looking thing. It markings on it. It's not treasure." I tell him "So it wasn't a blue crown. It was a map?" He asks "Somewhat map like. Couldn't really tell" I say knowing he was wanting to know more "Blackbeard leaves a map at the catacombs under Stede Bonnets grave." He says "Maybe he's thinking before he gets caught he leaves it there for Elizabeth so she-" I start to say "She could find the blue crown. Holy shit." John b finishes "Not even a little bit curious though right?" I smirk
We finally pull back up to the house to see JJ and kie outside. "You find it?" Jj asks "Mission failed on all fronts. There was something there but we didn't get it." Pope tells him "Well at least the Twinkie made it back." Jj answers as I walk off itching my head
"It's a catacomb. It's got a bunch of skulls around it. And the weirdest part is other people were down there looking for the same thing we were looking for." Pope says "It wasn't just other people it was the man who killed Terrance." Cleo says "Oh and there were rats, and let's not forgot freaking snakes too" I add still itching my head "Where'd you ghost off to big guy?" John b asks jj "Oh I was uh just trying to help out the team. Quick cash grab. But the plan fell through, cause it was Barracuda Mike." Jj says "Barracuda Mike. I'm not surprised that didn't work out." John b says but for some reason I didn't believe jj
"Listen I'm super sorry about the rat and snake and everything. But we have that zoning bullshit hearing coming up tonight and we don't have any money for a lawyer." John b says "Obviously" kie mumbles "Any ideas are welcome" John b says "What about Sarah?" Jj asks "Oh yeah they are totally gonna let her take on a case when she's been at school for what 2 months and you only have to go through shit I don't know 6 years to become an actual lawyer" I tell him "Just spitballing ideas" jj answers
"How about we call people? The whole island is pissed about what they've been doing. Get everybody over there, pack the house, rally the troops. Maybe we actually have a shot at winning this." John b suggests "More the merrier. I could get the surf squad out there. From the beach." Jj says "Yeah just make sure you make it back." John b tells him "I'll stay on mission. I promise" he answers "Pope. Maybe call some of your family. Maybe uncle Roger" cleo says "I can do that" he nods
"Speaking of family. This is gonna sound insane. But Rafe came by." Kie says pulling something out of her pocket "What? Why?" I ask her "I don't know. He said he wanted to help us." Kie says giving the card to me "Wow" cleo mumbles "Don't shoot the messenger " kie says
"Rafe loves to help doesn't he?" John b says coming over to me "Rafe Cameron CEO. CEO of what? Whatever. I'll hit him up. Maybe he can help us." I mumble "All right. Let's do this shit. Let's save pougelandia" John b says
