Months ago...
The Baron of the Committee ran into a hall with sweat dripping from his brow. He produced a phone from his suit pocket and frantically dialed a number.
"It's time!"
"Pay better be good."
"It's already been transferred. Doubled. Just DO IT!"
"And you're sure your intel is solid?"
"They tracked him to his goddamned house, what more do you want!?" Baron spoke hurriedly.
The line went dead. The Baron briefly panicked before stuffing the phone back away and taking off running down the hall. He came to a halt as a hulking and furious Tigra exploded from the wall.
Thousands of miles away, an intimidating man sat in a makeshift throne watching the number on his screen count more and more money as it was transferred. One hundred thousand. A million. Three million. Ten million.
"Easiest job I ever pulled" He chuckled, flicked the toothpick he'd been using on his teeth through the air, and stood up. "Pack it up, boys!" He shouted to his crew. "We're going to Hollywood!" He smiled a sparkling metallic grin...
"And then, mama took me to this..." Monica paused, searching for the words as she sat atop Andrew's shoulders as they walked down the sidewalk with a grocery bag.
"Airshow?" Andrew filled in.
"Airshow! And it was super cool!"
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah! They like dove at the ground and pulled up at like the last chance second!"
"Sounds pretty cool. Y'know I used to watch your Mama and Auntie Carol do stuff like that."
"Were they cool like the ones I saw?"
"The coolest."
Monica tapped out a soft rhythm on the top of Andrew's head as they continued.
"So, who's all gonna come?"
"Tomorrow?"
"Mhm."
"Everybody, I think."
"Who's everybody?" Monica giggled.
"Everybody that loves me. Hey, look it" Andrew pointed to the car pulling up to Andrew's house.
"Who is it?"
"I...don't know" Andrew stared at the car and slid Monica off his shoulders.
Two figures emerged from the vehicle. One took off after Monica as she ran away. Andrew hurried up to the other and slammed into it.
"I missed you too" Peggy Carter smiled down at Andrew as he held her up in a tight hug.
"You said you couldn't come!" He chuckled.
"I wanted to surprise my favorite paperwork creator!"
Andrew set her down and pulled away from the hug. "It's really good to see you, Peg."
Peggy stood on her tiptoes to smooch Andrew's cheek. "One day you'll learn I always come when you call."
She flashed him a smile and walked inside with a few boxes.
Monica came running back into the front yard and curved around Andrew, who scooped up her pursuer.
"Gotcha" He chuckled, giving Sharon Carter a soft hug.
"I missed you" Sharon grinned, happy to finally see her favorite uncle. She was a smart girl. Whichever family member she was seeing was her favorite.
"Miss you too, hon." Andrew sat down Sharon and pointed her at the house. "Go say hi."
