After getting crushed by Princeton last night, the Colgate Raiders head to Hamden, Connecticut to play the Quinnipiac Bobcats as Coach Pecknold looks for his team to beat the Raiders once again. With 6:19 left in the first period, Chris Wagner scored his eighth goal of the season, on the power play to make it 1-0 Colgate. Eric Mihalik and Eric Hartzell matched zeros for the remainder of the period so Colgate clings to their 1-0 lead heading to the second period. With 19:44 left in the second period, Zach Davies scored to tie the game 1-1. With 17:21 left in the second period, Kellen Jones scored to make it 2-1 Quinnipiac. With 10:16 left in the second period, Mike Dalhuisen scored to make it 3-1 Bobcats. With 16 seconds left in the second period, Jeremy Langlois scored to make it 4-1 in favor of Coach Pecknold's Bobcats. Mihalik and Hartzell matched zeros for the remainder of the middle stanza so Quinnipiac leads 4-1 heading to the third period. With 10:58 left in the third period, Reese Rolheiser scored to make it 5-1 Bobcats. Colgate coach Don Vaughan pulled Eric Mihalik out of the net and so Steve Estep filled in for the remainder of the game. With 5:10 left in the third period, Zack Currie scored to make it 6-1 Quinnipiac. With 3:14 left in the third period, Matthew Peca scored to make it 7-1 Bobcats. Eric Hartzell finished off the Raiders and Quinnipiac wins emphatically 7-1. Colgate dropped to 12-8-2 on the season and 6-4-0 in ECAC Hockey play.
