After a tough loss to Clarkson last Saturday, Spiro Goulakos and the Colgate Raiders return to Starr Rink for Spiro's first taste of senior weekend as Colgate welcomes in RPI and Union on the final weekend of the regular season. Eric Mihalik and Scott Diebold matched zeros in the first period so no score on the Starr Rink scoreboard after the first period of senior weekend. With 14:55 left in the second period, Mark McGowan scored to make it 1-0 Rensselaer. With 4:13 left in the second period, Joe Wilson scored his ninth goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. With 2:17 left in the second period, Spiro Goulakos scored his third goal of the season, on the power play to make it 2-1 Raiders. With 2 seconds left in the second period, Jacob Lalibertè scored to tie the game 2-2. Mihalik and Diebold matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 2-2 is the score showing on the Starr Rink scoreboard after two periods of play on the first night of senior weekend. With 19:45 left in the third period, CJ Lee scored to make it 3-2 Engineers. With 1:58 left in the third period, Mark McGowan scored to make it 4-2 Rensselaer. Scott Diebold finished off the Raiders and Rensselaer wins 4-2. Colgate dropped to 17-13-3 on the season and 11-9-1 in ECAC Hockey play.
