After pulling away late last night, the Colgate Raiders return to Starr Rink to play their hated rivals, the Clarkson Golden Knights on Saturday night with a packed house expected for the game. With 17:13 left in the first period, Sam Vigneault scored to make it 1-0 Clarkson. With 9:37 left in the first period, Christian Powers scored to make it 2-0 Golden Knights. With 3:50 left in the first period, Kevin Lough scored his first goal of the season to make it 2-1 Tech. Charlie Finn and Ville Runola matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 2-1 Clarkson it remains heading to the second period. Finn and Runola matched zeros in the second period so 2-1 Tech it remains heading to the second intermission. With 8:24 left in the third period, Darcy Murphy scored his third goal of the season to tie the game 2-2. Finn and Runola matched zeros for the remainder of regulation so the two hated rivals remain tied 2-2 and we'll play extra hockey because of a 2-2 tie between Colgate and Clarkson. Finn and Runola matched zeros in overtime so we'll finish tonight's game with a 2-2 tie. Colgate shifted to 8-3-1 on the season and 2-1-1 in ECAC Hockey play.
