After a heartbreaking end to the ECAC Hockey tournament last night, Spiro Goulakos and the Colgate Raiders venture back to Hamilton hoping just to play hockey again in the 2013-14 season. Spiro Goulakos is having the best season of his college hockey career offensively and freshman goalie Charlie Finn is playing well alongside Spiro's career year. Along with Charlie Finn and Spiro Goulakos, Darcy Murphy has been playing pretty well in his own right as he's one of the best goal scorers on the team at the moment. Colgate will collectively search for one more chance at a championship but this time at the national level.
Colgate watches and waits for an opportunity to play ice hockey again in the spring of 2014 and will have to wait for the selection show on Sunday for that determination. Can Colgate continue this magical run? That's hope of players, coaches and fans alike. Colgate men's hockey is in wonderful hands with captain Spiro Goulakos, goaltender Charlie Finn and head coach Don Vaughan heading into the potential offseason for Spiro's third offseason.
