It is the end of the season for Spiro Goulakos' junior season and the incoming senior and the team is heartbroken to have lost 1-0 to Ferris State at the end of the captain's first season in a leadership role. Spiro had a career high nine goals this past season along with eleven helpers giving him 20 points in his third season on campus here in Hamilton. Spiro and his teammates should be proud of what they accomplished this past season and the fans should be excitedly awaiting Spiro Goulakos' senior season (as it is evidently his final season on campus).
Spiro enters this offseason working on all aspects of his game as he prepares for the final season of his college career at Colgate. Spiro was at his best offensively in his junior season and I can't wait to dive into his senior season to see what will happen as Spiro plays the last of his college hockey in maroon and white. Spiro's greatness comes in so many different ways and in it's incredible to research the Spiro Goulakos story. Goulakos was the best player on both sides of the puck this past season and we as Colgate fans excitedly await his senior season!
Thus ends another season of Spiro Goulakos playing his tail off in pursuit of making Colgate hockey into a national championship contender. Spiro will have only one more shot to play college hockey and he'll also have only one more chance at a championship should the team get back to the NCAA Tournament next season. So the question looms whether or not Spiro will leave the team for greener pastures in the not too distant future and it should scare Colgate fans dearly as they'd be losing their best defenseman to the National Hockey League or something of that nature. So, what does Spiro do?
