After ending a downward spiral last night, the Colgate Raiders head to Hamden, Connecticut to play one of the best teams in America the past few years, Quinnipiac hoping to take down a college hockey blue blood. Charlie Finn and Michael Garteig matched zeros in the first period so no score in Hamden after one period of play. With 10:46 left in the second period, Tylor Spink scored his twelfth goal of the season to make it 1-0 Colgate. With 9:09 left in the second period, Connor Jones scored to tie the game 1-1. Finn and Garteig matched zeros for the remainder of the period so we'll remain deadlocked at one heading to a crucial third period. With 9:52 left in the third period, Tylor Spink scored his thirteenth goal of the season to make it 2-1 Colgate. With 1:07 left in the third period, Darcy Murphy scored his fourteenth goal of the season, into an empty net to make it 3-1 Hamiltonians! Charlie Finn finished off the 31 save performance and Colgate wins 3-1! Colgate improved to 16-11-5 on the season and 12-5-3 in ECAC Hockey play!
