After not registering a point in four consecutive games, Spiro Goulakos and the Colgate Raiders head to Meehan Auditorium in Providence, Rhode Island to begin ECAC Hockey play against the Brown University Bears on Friday night. With 13:25 left in the first period, Austin Smith scored his eighth goal of the season (with Goulakos picking up an assist), short handed to make it 1-0 Colgate. Eric Mihalik and Mike Clemente matched zeros for the remainder of the period so Colgate leads 1-0 heading to the second period. With 17 minutes left in the second period, Jack Maclellan scored to tie the game 1-1. With 15:46 left in the second period, Massimo Lamacchia scored to make it 2-1 Bruno. With 12:12 left in the second period, Kevin McNamara scored his first goal of the season (Goulakos picking up his second assist of the evening in the process) to tie the game 2-2. With 1:11 left in the second period, Jeremy Price scored his first goal of the season to make it 3-2 Raiders. Mihalik and Clemente matched zeros for the remainder of the second period so Colgate maintains their 3-2 lead heading to the third period. With 13:35 left in the third period, Jeff Ryan scored to tie the game 3-3. With 4:35 left in the third period, Austin Smith scored his ninth goal of the season, short handed to make it 4-3 Hamiltonians. With 5 seconds left in the third period, Chris Wagner scored his second goal of the season into an empty net to make it 5-3 Raiders! Eric Mihalik finished off the Brown Bears and Colgate wins 5-3! Colgate improved to 5-2-1 on the season and 1-0-0 in ECAC Hockey play!
