6: The Spiro Goulakos Story

  If you don't know, that "Joyeux Noel" is French for Merry Christmas and this is the second Christmas break of Spiro's Colgate career. Goulakos is having a fantastic sophomore season and will look to continue his sensational season when the team returns to the ice in the new year as Colgate looks to return to ECAC Hockey championship weekend this spring. Spiro Goulakos, as Don Vaughan publicly stated, is a major contributor on both sides of the puck and will play a major role in how Colgate concludes this 2012-13 season in men's varsity ice hockey. With his college hockey career almost halfway gone, Goulakos seems to be making the most of his time on the ice at Colgate University.

 Spiro's sophomore season is halfway over and so far so good for the sophomore out of Montreal, Quebec. Spiro has six goals, seven assists for a total of thirteen points through eighteen games in his second season in Central New York which is putting his freshman season to shame to be perfectly honest. Spiro has played a hand in Colgate's recent success pitching in on both sides of the ice and has had great success in doing so. Spiro Goulakos' sophomore season is far from over and it should be interesting to see how in concludes as Colgate fans are hoping for more of the same out of Spiro and the team.

Colgate has been my favorite team in the country forever and it's because of men like Spiro Goulakos that make me appreciate the way the team past and present plays Hockey so competitively even after the Vaughan era ended in a few after this book takes place.
