After scoring his first career hat trick en route to an emphatic victory last Saturday, Spiro Goulakos and the Colgate Raiders return to Starr Rink for weekend matchups against Rensselaer and Union this weekend as the regular season continues to wind down. With 4:12 left in the first period, John Lidgett scored his first goal of the season to make it 1-0 Colgate. Charlie Finn and Scott Diebold matched zeros for the remainder of the period so the Hamiltonians lead 1-0 heading to the second period. Finn and Diebold matched zeros in the second period so 1-0 Colgate remains the score on the Starr Rink scoreboard heading to period number three. With 54 seconds left in regulation time, Ryan Haggerty scored to tie the game 1-1. Finn and Diebold matched zeros for the remainder of said regulation time so we'll play extra hockey this evening because of an 1-1 tie between Colgate and Rensselaer. Finn and Diebold canceled each other out and we'll skate to an 1-1, overtime tie. Colgate shifted to 14-11-4 on the season and 10-5-2 in ECAC Hockey play.
