On January 19,2015, Colgate Coach Don Vaughan announced that senior captain Spiro Goulakos would more than likely miss the remainder of the regular season with a lower body injury. Number six in maroon and white was injured in the win over Union in the first period and did not finish the game against Union College. This is the second time in Spiro's career that the Montreal, Quebec native has missed any amount of time as a Colgate Raider. Spiro was on pace to play every single game in his senior season when this injury occurred but now, he'll be out for the foreseeable future. So, how will Colgate play without their captain leading them?

Spiro is a massive piece of this Colgate team that went to championship weekend a season ago with their current captain in his inaugural season as Colgate captain. Goulakos will look to finish his Colgate career with a Whitelaw Cup and a national championship to his incredible resume. Spiro Goulakos will look to guide the Raiders to multiple championship weekend appearances like he's already done (from earlier in the story). Spiro's journey has been a blessing for me to research and learn from because he's inspired me to live my life to the fullest for the rest of my life and I hope he lives his to the fullest as well.

We've reached the homestretch of the story as we are almost finished with Spiro's journey through adversity. Spiro Goulakos was number five on my list of My Favorite Raiders because of this book and this is a book I'd encourage people to read if they want to learn more about the game of college hockey because Spiro embodied the example of what a college hockey player should be. Anyway, thank you as always for reading and see you the next time Spiro Goulakos takes the ice and peace!!
