After a disheartening loss last night, the Colgate Raiders return to Starr Rink to play the weekend series finale with St. Cloud State hoping for better results this evening. With 17:53 left in the first period, Niklas Nevalainen scored to make it 1-0 St. Cloud State. With 11:34 left in the first period, Ryan Papa scored to make it 2-0 Huskies. With 6:46 left in the first period, Kalle Kossila scored to make it 3-0 St. Cloud. With 3:58 left in the first period, Nic Dowd scored to make it 4-0 Huskies. Colgate coach Don Vaughan pulled Eric Mihalik out of the net and so; Spencer Finney filled in for the time being. Finney and Faragher matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 4-0 is the score showing on the Starr Rink scoreboard after a period of play in Central New York. With 12:11 left in the second period, Kyle Baun scored his third goal of the season, on the power play to make it 4-1 St. Cloud State. With 4:20 left in the second period, Darcy Murphy scored his first goal of the season to make it 4-2 Huskies. Finney and Faragher matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 4-2 St. Cloud State remains our score heading to the second intermission. With 16:52 left in the third period, Kyle Baun scored his fourth goal of the season to make it 4-3 Huskies. Ryan Faragher finished off the Raiders and St. Cloud State hangs on and wins 4-3. Colgate dropped to 2-4-1 on the season.
