After serving two minutes in the box last Saturday, Spiro Goulakos and the Colgate Raiders head to Ithaca, New York to play the hated Cornell Big Red at a ruckus Lynah Rink as the Route 13 Rivalry takes center stage in the college hockey world. Charlie Finn and Andy Iles matched zeros in the first period so no score shows on the Lynah Rink scoreboard heading to the second period. With 19:10 left in the second period, Darcy Murphy scored his eighth goal of the season to make it 1-0 Raiders. With 16:09 left in the second period, Daniel Gentzler scored his first goal of the season to make it 2-0 Colgate. With 10:53 left in the second period, Joakim Ryan scored to make it 2-1 Hamiltonians. A man named Finn and Iles matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 2-1 Colgate it remains heading to the second period. With 12:19 left in the third period, Cole Bardreau scored to tie the game 2-2. Finn and Iles matched zeros for the remainder of regulation time so we'll play extra hockey because of a 2-2 tie between Colgate and Cornell. Finn and Iles matched zeros in overtime so 2-2 is our final in this rivalry game. Colgate shifted to 7-7-2 on the season and 5-3-1 in ECAC Hockey play.
