On July 10,2014, Spiro Goulakos took part in an NHL player development camp hosted by the New York Rangers! Oh, the possibilities of this developing story between the Rangers and Spiro Goulakos but it was not anything like what I personally have in mind. Goulakos was interviewed by New York with the hope of joining the Blueshirts after his college career. Spiro is hoping to further his hockey journey and the Rangers, an original six franchise of the NHL, would be perfect for Spiro's development on and off the ice. Like I mentioned way back, Spiro played the game with class and he would bring that same class to the NHL like he's done in college.
Spiro being invited to a professional hockey development camp means that he'll most likely play somewhere after college life is over. Spiro's play during his junior year must've impressed someone into inviting him to the Rangers event and he impressed us as Colgate fans. So, will this be the last we hear of Spiro Goulakos as a Raider? Or, will ne continue his college hockey career and also and arguably more importantly, his college education? Find out in future updates about Spiro Goulakos!!
Folks, this is the longest story I've ever written and it's been extremely fun because I'm simply enjoying it for the first time in a while! I can't believe this story has reached this point my previous longest story was Keep Fighting, my cancer memoir. Anywho, Spiro Goulakos was a hero to me as I was actually living that story out. Goulakos was an icon in my life because he had this will to live life to the fullest even through adversity of battles and adversity of day to day life. Goulakos was the best person on and off the ice and it wasn't even close! There, I said it and it feels so good to have said it!!
