This is it, the ECAC Hockey championship game for the second consecutive season for the Colgate men's hockey team and the same holds true for captain Spiro Goulakos as they play the Harvard University Crimson for the right to win the Whitelaw Cup. With 7:38 left in the first period, Jimmy Vesey scored to make it 1-0 Harvard. With 4:41 left in the first period, Darcy Murphy scored his eleventh goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. Charlie Finn and Steve Michalek matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 1-1 remains our score heading to the second period. With 18:31 left in the second period, Jimmy Vesey scored to make it 2-1 Crimson. With 11:44 left in the second period, Patrick McNally scored to make it 3-1 Harvard. Finn and Michalek matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 3-1 Crimson it remains heading to the third period. With 7:43 left in the third period, John Lidgett scored his eighth goal of the season to make it 3-2 Harvard. With 56 seconds left in the third period, Colin Blackwell scored to make it 4-2 Crimson. Steve Michalek finished off the Raiders and Harvard has won the Whitelaw Cup by a final of 4-2. Spiro and the Raiders will now have to watch the selection show to see if they've done enough to make the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season.
