After an alright start to the season, Spiro Goulakos and the Colgate Raiders return to Starr Rink to open the legendary establishment for the season with weekend games against Northeastern this weekend in Central New York. Charlie Finn and Clay Witt matched zeros in the first period so no score after one period of play in Hamilton. With 10:16 left in the second period, Mike Panowyk scored his first career goal to make it 1-0 Colgate. Finn and Witt matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 1-0 Raiders remains our score heading to the third period. With 11:46 left in the third period, Darcy Murphy scored his first goal of the season to make it 2-0 Hamiltonians. With 52 seconds left in the third period, Kyle Baun scored his second goal of the season, on the power play and into an empty net to make it 3-0 Colgate! Spiro Goulakos picks up an assist on the goal! Charlie Finn finished off the 24 save shutout and Colgate evidently wins 3-0! Colgate improved to 2-1-0 on the season!
