What I told the police was half truth and half lie. That day when I went to meet the investor at the hotel Skyline, I knew very well that he was going to ask us to meet New. I especially asked him beforehand to introduce us. He was doing business with New and kept his promise.

I vividly remembered that day.

We were waiting in a private bar which was specially reserved for VIP guests. This wasn't any usual looking bar. It was a big room with a splendid view. Those humongous windows were a sight to behold. Mr Narawin, the said investor went outside to attend a call and Pa was getting impatient. He wanted to leave but I insisted on staying.

When New entered with Luke and other two people, only Pa and I were there. Because the room was large and we were sitting near the farthest corner, at first glance he didn't notice us and went straight to sit down on the sofa in the middle. He was looking tired.

10 years.

I haven't seen him for ten fucking years. But the moment I saw his face it was like I just met him yesterday. Of course I last saw him face to face when he was a 13 year old boy. And he is 23 now. Truth to be told, he is the same to me, only a bit tall, a bit matured and a bit serious. But then again, the few pictures of his I abled to acquire, I see them everyday. So I am already used to this face.

He was wearing a maroon suit and a black dress shirt. The upper two buttons were undone and his milky white skin was full on display. Then I saw it. The jade pendant. It was peeking out rather beautifully. This brought a smile to my face. Now that I know his every movement, I know he deliberately kept it as a token of our friendship.

His hair was styled in a way that was giving out a seductive vibe. He was dressed to kill.

'Where is Mr Narawin?' He asked while looking at his phone.

'I saw him outside.' Luke answered.

'Mn. Order some food for me. I am starving...and get me something to drink.' He yawned.

'You have to go to the main office today. Don't drink.' Luke signalled the other guards and they left with a nod.

'I don't need your permission, now do I?' New glanced at him. His voice was full of arrogance.

I couldn't help but think about the boy who was a gentle soul........The one in front of me.....isn't him. But I am going to bring back the old New...I don't care how much time and effort it needs....by hook or by crook.

Luke didn't say anything and turned around to reach the bar when he noticed us. He froze instantly.

'And call Mr Narawin inside. I don't have much time.' New didn't notice Luke's abnormal behaviour.

'Young master....' Luke who grew up with New, calling him young master! I found it amusing as well as sad.

'Tonight I am going to stay here....' New was fiddling with his phone.

'Young master!' Luke raised his voice slightly.

This time he noticed Luke's abnormality and looked up.

'What's wrong?' He frowned.

Luke turned his head towards us and New's eyes followed.

When he finally saw us his body froze. I was watching his every movement so instantly became aware of his bewilderment.

I was about to greet when heard him cursing,

'Fuck!'

The boy who used to hate vulgar words now cursing freely.

I totally forgot about Pa, so when he made a disapproving sound under his throat, I almost jumped.

'Let's go.' New quickly got up and about to leave when I called out of desperation.
