'What's wrong with you! You are New Wachanit. What rubbish is this!' Mae was about to explode.

'New...What kind of joke is this!'

'He is not joking......he is telling the truth.' Luke muttered.

I know he is telling the truth.....but I was scared to death.

'But uncle, It's not a joke. I am not a Wachanit. I have no blood relation with you guys.' His innocent face was full of mischief.

And you deliberately kept this as a secret to use it tonight against them...

'What!' Mae was so shocked that she stumbled a few steps back.

'No! That's not possible! You are a Wachanit! I checked everything personally!' His uncle grabbed his collar and pulled him closer.

'Really? Ah! Then I fooled you completely! Ha ha.' But New wasn't afraid at all.

What are you doing! Why are you provoking them so much!

'Basterd!' His uncle pushed him hard. He was about to fall down when someone hugged him.

Aunty......

'Mom?' New looked up and smiled.

'He is right. He is not a Wachanit. He is not my son. Vasu, Mae, you both killed my husband and ruined my life. Today I took my revenge. Your ancestral book is now contaminated with someone else's blood.' She held New tightly in her arms, like a tigress protecting it's cub.

She is not his mother......but she loves him very much.

'At first I wanted to give you those papers personally but since mom is here, I think you'd like to hear it directly from her......by the way...she didn't know about any of this.....I told her yesterday. And since she hated you guys so much....she agreed to support me. So don't blame her.' New said with a sweet smile.

'He is trying to shoulder all the blame.' Luke muttered again.

'New...!' Aunty wanted to say something but New interrupted her, saying,

'She has no involvement in this mess and I solely took responsibility for your losses.' New bowed mockingly.

He is lying. He is saying this just to keep aunty from harm's way. I can see it in her eyes. She is looking at him with eyes filled with tears.

'No! No! Not possible! The pendant...!' His uncle pointed at New's neck.

'This pendant is not mine. I stole it from a boy at the orphanage. I wanted to sell it but before I could do that......you came to see me. I just wanted to get out of that shitty place so I lied that it was mine. And you believed me. So stupid.' He took off the chain from his neck and threw it on the ground.

Stole it! I gave it to you! Voluntarily!

A hard slap landed on his face and he staggered back a few steps but that playful smile didn't leave his face. Aunty quickly held him straight and stood in front of him.

I was about to run downstairs but Luke held me tightly and whispered in my ear,

'Don't be a fool. In this situation you can't help him in any way but if you go down now he will be in danger and you will be in danger too.'

I stopped fighting and looked down. New was standing awkwardly.

He is feeling weak due to the blood loss...

I wanted to go there and protect both of them but New's instructions were still ringing in my ear. Now I know why he didn't want me to interfere.....

'I wanted a good life and you were eager to give me that. Thanks to you I lived ten years of my life in luxury.'
