'Mom? You are here....' I scratched my head not knowing what to say.

'Where have you been? You haven't had your lunch so I thought you were full because of those fruits.' Ma was watching both of us with great concern.

'Mn. We were walking and chatting near the river.' I tried to hide my lips by covering them .. pretending to cough.

'Are you hungry now?'

'Not yet.' I am not in the mood to eat anything.

'I think you should eat something.....' Tay said timidly.

I didn't say anything but gave him a hard stare.

'When I asked you at the hospital, you said no, nothing's going on between us....you silly goose! And now your best friend is asking you and you immediately tell the truth?' Mom said with a smile.

What truth? I didn't say anything!
