Distance doesn't separate people... misunderstanding does

'Are you two fighting?'

Ma was pouring coffee in my cup. We were all gathered around the dining table to have breakfast. It's already been three days and I am not talking to Tay. That doesn't mean I am not taking care of him. Whenever he complained about pain I helped him, even dutifully sprayed his hand three times a day. He took care of my medicine and I let him do it. I just stopped talking to him. He tried numerous times to talk to me but I shoo him away every time. Today I am going to visit the head office. I have back to back meetings the whole day.

I wanted to drive there but Tay somehow managed to brainwash Uncle who now ordered me to take Tay with me. So he is getting ready.

'No. We are fine.' I said while munching on the sandwiches Ma made for me. She really is a great cook.

'Then why is he sleeping in the guest room?'

'Because he needs enough space to rest his hand comfortably.' I quoted Tay without hesitation.

'Oh. That's why.' Ma nodded in understanding.

It was good that he was sleeping in a separate room these past few days because I had a serious breakdown one night. From the get go I knew those medicines were not gonna help me much but somehow they managed to hold me together. But that night I almost lost my mind. I was desperate to have a drink but this house is totally clean so I couldn't help but endure the whole night.
Fortunately Tay wasn't there to witness my pathetic condition. I somehow managed to avert the crisis using sheer willpower.

'Have some fruits too. I'll send you lunch later.'

'Mn. Okay.' I ate some apples and grapes.

When Ma was satisfied with my appetite she let me go. I came out and saw Tay was waiting near my car.

'New.....' He has plastered a bright smile on his face but his eyes were anxious.

I am not going to be easy on you. You need some discipline. My mouth is not your property. You have to understand that.

'Give me the keys. I am driving.' I extended my hand.

He silently gave them to me and opened the door for me.

How courteous! I rolled my eyes and got in.

Luke was busy with some work and wasn't present in the office. I knew about this beforehand but Tay didn't. So when he found out that Luke is not going to accompany us he was very happy.

He is jealous of Luke.....now how am I supposed to say anything about Non!

But I have to. Maybe tonight I will end his punishment and let him stay in our room.

'Young master?'

'What is it?'

I just finished a meeting and Tay and I were returning to my office when one of my men bowed.

He looked at Tay and hesitated.

'Wait for me in the office.' I  looked at Tay and pointed my chin towards the office room.

He didn't move at all.

I gritted my teeth but couldn't say anything in front of a subordinate so I turned my head and said to the guard,

'It's okay. Tell me what happened?'

'We found the mole.'

Mole? Non's man? In my company! Great! I was waiting for this news.

'Where is he?'

'In the..... strong room.' He glanced at Tay and I did the same thing.

Tay didn't know anything about the strong room. In fact only a few know about its existence. It's my special room where I interrogate people. When it was under Vasu Wachanit's command it was a torture room but I only use it to detain people and ask some questions. And if I lose my patience, I beat them up.... nothing extreme....just some light beating..
