'This is really not good. What were you thinking!' I could feel his tension even in the darkness. He was sitting right next to me on the floor.

'Calm down. Have some water.' I took out the bottle from the packet Luke brought.

'If big brother finds out about this.....'

'Nothing will happen. Trust me. Now tell me what happened last night.' I scooted closer to him.

New took the bottle from my hand and took a sip.

'Drink some more.'

'I don't want to pee in the corner. That place is already a mess.'

'Then how did you manage so far?' I couldn't help but ask.

'I am drinking and eating in small quantities.' He mumbled.

This is torture!

'This is insane! Those basterds....'

'Shhh! Don't just say things randomly! Someone might hear you!'

'Why are you so afraid of them? I know they are scary but.......'

'I am not afraid......I am worried......for you......for us.'

My heart skipped a beat. Really? He is worried.....for me?

'Don't worry. Soon we will definitely get out of here and live our lives happily outside.'

I heard his soft chuckle which made my heart warm.

'We both are students.....how on earth are we going to survive in the world?'

I bumped into his shoulder lightly and said,

'I will get a job. I know there are places where they hire underage students. My income won't be much but I will definitely provide for both of us. So that you can continue with your studies. You are already on scholarship. It will be easy.' I meticulously started to sketch our future together.

'And what about your studies?' His voice was soft.

'After completing your studies you will definitely get a good job. Then I will stop working and complete my study from a private institution. I am telling you Newiee, in ten years we will be on top of the world.'

'Sounds like a plan to me.'

I was surprised. I expected his laughter but instead of laughing he actually thought that it's possible! I became restless.

'Then after the summer break.....'

'Hm. Let's run away from here.' He sighed.

We spent the night without any further complications. Early in the morning Luke came silently and let us out from that shit hole.

'Some patrons are coming with a bunch of people. They are willing to adopt boys from our orphanage. Big brother told me to let you out.' He said.

'Really! But didn't they say before that no one wants to associate with this orphanage because of its bad reputation?' New asked half happy half worried, but my mood was sour. What if someone adopt us individually and we never get to see each other again! I know that no one wants to adopt a full grown almost teenager child but still......my heart started to race.

'Go wash up first and change your clothes. Then join the boys in the front lawn.' Luke gave a nod and left hurriedly.

'Let's go let's go. You can wear my clean shirt. I know you are too lazy to prepare anything beforehand.' New rushed me towards the main building.
