The whisper was so chilling that I forgot to breathe. Someone snatched the phone from my hand and shone the light on my face.

'We need to talk. You guys...guard the front.' Non grabbed my collar and dragged me towards the jungle. There were minimum ten to twelve people scattered around and they all were carrying a lantern each. But they were so dimmed that nothing was clearly visible.

'So? You guys are not enemies. You totally fooled me by the way.' After walking for quite a distance he let go of my shirt.

I didn't say a word.

'The good thing is that it's not too late for me to catch up with you guys or else that Luke is really something huh!'

Luke! Is he here!

'He came prepared with a team of police all from the city. But don't worry. They are searching in the wrong places. My men diverted their attention quite easily.'

Shit! He is still in the village!

'New is not doing well.'

'Oh that's quite natural. My man told me that not only did he break his leg, he received a heavy blow on his stomach. And before they could start the treatment he left for here. So it's a given that he is not well.'

No! So that's why blood is pouring from his mouth!

'Help him.'

'I'm sorry, what? Could you please repeat it? I didn't hear it well.'

'Help him get to a hospital. Please...'

'Oh P Tay! Why are you talking like this? Now I am feeling bad.'

'Non....'

'Don't worry. Of course I will help P New. He is my fiance. It's my duty to look after him. But I will do that after I kill you.'

To my horror he took out a gun and aimed at me.

People say that before death a person can see pictures of different moments of his whole life. When I saw that gun I knew he was not lying. He is definitely going to kill me. So I closed my eyes and said,

'You can kill me but please help New.'

Before I could finish speaking, the bullet went past my ear with a piercing sound.

He missed?

My eyes fluttered and I saw Non crouching down with his hand on his head.

What happened! I was about to take a step backward when a figure leapt from the nearest high ground and landed in front of me with grace.

'I shot at him once and I regret it to this day. I have not been able to forgive myself for that incident. Do you think I will forgive you for aiming that gun at him?'

'Are you okay?' This question was for me.

'I....I am fine.' I croaked.

'You are lucky that he is fine. If you had hurt even one part of his body, I would have hacked you to death right now.' New was seething in anger.

'P New.....' Non's voice was shaking. I squinted my eyes and tried to see in that dim light that exactly what happened to Non.

When he stood straight I saw blood was trickling from his head. It's not a light injury.

'You...you! You threw a rock at me!!Are you crazy! You are hurting me for him!' Non shouted angrily but to my surprise not one of his men came running.
