One curse one kiss

For half a month, New was in a medically induced coma. A team of doctors did their very best to treat his injuries and I used this time to throw Non into prison. It wasn't an easy feat to achieve but with Luke's help and Mr Narawin's support I was able to send him to prison. I also started to help Mom seriously with company affairs.

New's condition has been stable these days and Dr Wut said he is out of danger. He is going to wake up any day now.

One day when I was accompanying him as I do every night, he slowly opened his eyes.

'New!' I eagerly held his hand feeling elated. Tears started to run freely.

Finally!

But he didn't say anything only blinked his eyes two or three times.

'Newiee!' I noticed his eyes were again out of focus so I bent down before asking,

'What's wrong?'

With difficulty he turned his head and moved his mouth and said,

'I think my eyes are blind again. Tay .... Wasn't it temporary? It's feeling weird for me not to see anything.' The expression on his face was so heartbreaking that I caressed his face.

'How's that possible! Let me call the doctor first....' I turned on the main light!

Suddenly his face turned pale.

'Newiee!'

'Tay! It's too bright!'

'Too bright? You can see the light?'

'Mn.'

I immediately called the doctor over.

The doctor conducted a basic eye test then he furrowed his brows before saying,

'His eyes are in good condition. I think because he was sleeping for so long, it's taking time to re-adjust, or on a second thought.....it's because of his recurring headache. But we will need to make sure of this with medical instruments.'

'Why didn’t you find this out earlier?' I stared at the doctor with a cold expression.

'Eyesight loss can be caused by many things. Without any obvious indications of damage, it’s not easy to find the cause without detailed exams.' The doctor replied cautiously.

'You have to cure him!' I didn't offer any room for argument.

'There's nothing to cure.' A voice sounded from the doorway.

Dr Wut.

'Dr Wut, New is having trouble seeing anything.'

'Give him some time to adjust.' He patted the other doctor's shoulder and went to examine New.

'I am giving you some eye drops. Let's wait a bit.'

So after fifteen minutes New's eyes were completely healed. The whole family was here after I called them and gave them the good news that New is awake.

'Thank you Dr Wut.' I expressed my gratitude full heartedly.

'I need to talk to you. Please come with me.'

New was busy talking to our parents.

'New, I will be right back.' I rubbed his head.

He nodded with a smile.

When we were out of the room Dr Wut said in a serious tone,

'Tay, you have to be strong. This coming week is going to be harrowing for both of you. New needs time and patience to adjust with his body. But I know him very well. He is good at enduring pain but not good with the healing process. He is going to give you a hard time. But you can't give in to him. You have to be very strict with him. Daily moderate exercise, healthy lifestyle, nutritious food......he is going to oppose you each and every time. You have to make him see that it's all for his own good.'
